3 in 3 for 10-09-26

It’s vital that Americans act for the good of our country, for the good of our Constitution, and for the continuing liberty that should be afforded to our children, grandchildren, and all who come after us. As our Decency Minutes this week point out, the actions we take may be varied, but the second most important action we can take is to be informed voters and informing voters. Let us educate ourselves on communism/socialism and Islam with its Sharia law. With such high percentages of young people favoring socialism and Islam’s Sharia, we must become better at communicating the dangers of these ideological systems, while also heralding the truths and benefits of Christianity and biblical capitalism. Stephen McDowell has an excellent two-part podcast entitled Overcoming Socialism with Biblical Capitalism on his program America’s Providential History here and here. Frank Gaffney’s website BanSharia.com has many articles, videos, webinars, books, handouts, and documents that expose the dangers of Sharia and its incompatibility with the Constitution of the United States of America, that grand document which safeguards our God-given liberty, freedoms, and rights.

The most important action we can take for the good of our nation and protecting its citizens from harm is to be real Christians; living out a bold, holy faith; and contending for that pure faith which has been handed down from Christ and His apostles through the Word. A legalistic adherence to the Word is not enough; it must be lived out and spelled out, and held out in love. In other words, we must follow our Heavenly Example – being full of truth and grace.

For your education and encouragement in these matters, we want to invite you to an outstanding film that speaks to the evils of our day and reminds the church to stand unwaveringly and unashamedly in the face of such evil. The Last Stand: Christ or Chaos — The War for the West will be shown Monday, October 12 at 1 pm or 6:30 pm at the American Decency building (203 E Main Street, Fremont, MI 49412) with a short panel discussion with one of the film’s representatives after the viewing. To learn more about this incredible opportunity read yesterday’s email here. We urge you to come and bring others with you.

Contending for the Faith

The Bible’s book of Jude calls Christians to contend for the pure faith. A large part of contending is communicating. That includes both sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in leading others to salvation and correcting falsehoods that are spoken about Jesus and the Christian faith.

The First Amendment guarantees our right to contend for the faith; this is not a protection found in any Islamic country nor in communist/socialist run nations either.

As we approach the midterm elections, we must keep this amazing right of free speech in our sights. Purposely vote for those who support our Constitution, not those who are enemies of it.

In the words of Charlie Kirk:

“The most important thing is sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ every single day. The second most important thing is making sure you can do the first thing.”

Keep Sharia at Bay

Recent polls are raising alarm bells for the future of our nation.  A quarter of young adults would support implementing Sharia law as the legal code for entire cities if the majority of residents wanted to do so.  While roughly 40% under the age of 30 have a positive view of Sharia.

Young people haven’t been taught to value the Constitution, but rather to see it as an obstacle to the Marxist agenda espoused on college campuses.  Which is why we see Marxism joining together with Islamism in a common mission to tear down the freedom and biblical values of our constitutional republic.

We cannot allow Sharia to expand its foothold in America.

Vote Biblical Values

If there’s one thing Americans should be able to expect from our political leaders, it’s loyalty to the people they represent.

An American elected official’s priority should be the good of his fellow citizens. But what does that mean, exactly, when a potential US Senator has maintained dual citizenship with a radically different country and culture like, say, Egypt?

We can just ask Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, although he may not answer. A decade ago, El-Sayed spoke publicly about his dual citizenship with Egypt and the summers he spent there and he included it on his resume.

Today, he and his campaign deny he ever carried it.

Americans deserve to have their interests represented by Americans with traditional American values, which is to say Christian values, not those of Egypt or of Islam.

Vote for Biblical values this November!
