Upon reading various articles concerning America’s action in Iran and the Middle East and after reading many of the comments after those articles, I have come to three conclusions: 1. We are a divided lot and each one (from both “sides of the fence”) needs to temper our thoughts and comments regarding President Trump, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, the military, and others with the same mercy and grace which has been shown to us by God. 2. We need to prayerfully search the Scriptures and recognize God’s roles and responsibilities for government and for the individual. 3. We are in desperate need of prayer, as a nation, as a church, and individually.

Here are a few of the things which we ought to be praying for, particularly in times like these:

Pray for genuine repentance in America, that our people, our churches, and our nation would realize that greatness only comes through God’s favor as we surrender to His Word. O Lord, revive us again. “Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved” Psalm 80:3.

Please pray for the people of Iran, especially Christians, pray for those who may be caught in the crossfire and pray for protection for U.S. troops in the region.

Pray for wisdom for President Trump to make righteous decisions.

Pray for Pete Hegseth as he continues to pray and lead our nation’s military. We should thank the Lord that we have a man like him in such a position. Let me share a little about this man.

In a recent press conference Pete Hegseth began “by delivering a message directly to members of the armed forces serving on the front lines. ‘May Almighty God watch over you and His providential arms of protection extend over you. Godspeed, warriors — and keep going.’” (The Christian Post)

Curtis Bowers’ Agenda Weekly gave the following quotes from Secretary of War Hegseth:

In his remarks at the National Religious Broadcasters’ International Christian Media Convention, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth declared, “Under the leadership of President Trump, the military once again supports and trains our troops and tends to their spiritual health. We train our troops – we no longer trans our troops… We are not in ‘Woke We Trust,’ we are in ‘God We Trust.’”

He asserted, “Protecting the God-given life of an unborn baby is not political. It is biblical. Protecting our borders from criminals who steal from us, assault our loved ones, and poison our citizens is not political. It’s biblical. Protecting women and children from being trafficked for sexual slavery is not political. It is biblical… Protecting our culture and our religion from godless ideologies and pagan religions [is] not political. It’s biblical.”

Hegseth promised, “As long as I have breath, I commit to you that I and we should never allow any group, no matter how large or small, to silence us from speaking the capital-T Truth: Christ is King. He died for our sins. We are forgiven. He will come again in glory. Amen.”

I’m not lifting up Pete Hegseth, but Pete Hegseth’s God.   I do thank the Lord that He has raised up a man of this quality and character for such a time as this. Might we each add him to our prayer list during such trying times.

Our one Decency Minute this week is again reminding people to sign up for and attend one of our many venues for the Hearing and Doing Conference next week with Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff, Dave Agema, and the Baynes. For more information on our speakers or the event itself click here and here.

The Hearing and Doing Conference

American Decency is hosting an event you won’t want to miss!

We’ve seen the impact of Islamic ideology in Europe, as Islam is quickly conquering their civilization.

Austrian Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff is a leading voice for truth and has paid the price as she’s fought for freedom and against Islamism.

Now she’s coming to America to warn that our nation is facing the same threat.  Islamic ideology undermines freedom and our Constitution.  Islam has already transformed numerous American cities such as Dearborn, Hamtramck, and Minneapolis.

Don’t miss this vital and timely message that America needs to hear before it’s too late.  Elisabeth will be joined by Michigan’s own freedom-fighter, Dave Agema.

Join us on Friday, March 13 at 1:00 pm at American Decency, 203 East Main Street in Fremont. Go to www.AmericanDecency.org for more information.
