The Path of Least Resistance

In 2011, noted historian William Federer warned: “Europe has gone from Judeo-Christian to the secular… Once you get rid of religion, nobody’s going to kill and die to defend Europe… And so, into Europe comes Sharia Law Islam, and it’s taking over entire cities and communities… You go from drive into neutral before you go into reverse. You had to go from Judeo-Christian to secular before you became Islamic.”

Last December, President Trump warned in his U.S. National Security Strategy document that “The larger issues facing Europe include activities of the European Union and other transnational bodies that undermine political liberty and sovereignty, migration policies that are transforming the continent and creating strife, censorship of free speech and suppression of political opposition, cratering birthrates, and loss of national identities and self-confidence…” Stating that all these troubles are “eclipsed by the real and more stark prospect of civilizational erasure.”

President Trump is correct, but what about the “civilizational erasure” that is taking place here, in our own beloved United States of America. What William Federer observed above should have sounded a stark warning for our own country as we’ve witnessed the slow dissolution of our culture and rejection of the Judeo-Christian values we were founded on, the same values many of us continue to hold dear today.

In part one of Grégoire Canlorbe’s interview with Alexandre del Valle for Gatestone Institute, del Valle describes this break down, explaining how the West has come to where we now find ourselves. “A great mistake of the Western elites seems to have been to reduce ‘national interests’ only to material interests. Many in the West appear to have believed that democracy and human rights would seduce all of humanity. They passed over in silence the dimensions of religion and ethnic values of the West — its shared culture, language and history, and its anchoring in Judeo-Christian priorities—in order to present democracy and human rights as a model exportable to the entire world.

“If the West had preserved a vision of itself as a civilization, it could have maintained economic relations with these countries while prohibiting any religious interference. It could have said clearly: ‘We cooperate, but you do not finance the Islamization of our territories.’ The West, having stopped seeing itself as a civilization, allowed Islamist powers to finance mosques, associations, and networks of influence on its own soil.

“If you refuse to defend your civilization, you are disarming your nation. The West is a civilization shared by a number of ethnic groups, which is mainly the product of Judeo-Christian values. If a nation does not know its identity, how can it defend itself? If a nation renounces its value systems, its traditions, its historical religion, and its heritage, it implicitly accepts changing its population, identity and religion.

“National interests cannot be defended without being aware of who we are and what we stand for. Without knowing that, there can be no defense.” (emphasis mine)

While many might say, “We’re not in the same boat as Europe; we haven’t gone that far.” I would point out that even if we are in the back of an extremely large boat which is headed for a destructive waterfall, it should offer us no comfort that we are not in the “front of the boat” where Europe sits.

If you doubt the Islamization of America or their goals for our nation and its citizens, allow me to share with you some of the more recent things which are taking place across our nation.

In Massachusetts: “Senate bill S.2134 would create a permanent, taxpayer-supported commission exclusively for ‘people who practice Islam,’ grant it the power to recommend American Muslims for appointive government positions at every level, and charge it with studying and combating ‘Islamophobia’—a term that functions as a shield against legitimate criticism of Islamic doctrine and practice. In short…preparing to accord Muslims privileged status.”

Texas: the Muslim Brotherhood is expanding its infrastructure with a $16.5 million dollar Sharia property operated by the Islamic Center of Irving and funded in part by Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Qatar.

In Michigan (July 17, 2026): “A prominent Shi’ite cleric in Michigan celebrated the death of Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham and asked worshippers to pray for US President Donald Trump’s death, later urging Muslims to elect Abdul El-Sayed, who last week won the Democratic nomination for the state’s Senate seat.”

Alabama: An imam in Huntsville urged his followers to prepare to sacrifice their lives through jihad in order to establish “the religion of Allah” in the United States.

New York: Times Square: Large Muslim crowd cheers on preacher: ‘We’ll take New York, then the rest of America’

Washington Free Beacon reports: Extremist Michigan Imam Urges Followers To Turn Out for Abdul El-Sayed: ‘Deal the Zionist a Blow.’ Lengthier RAIR article here which is a must read.

Robert Spencer shares: “CAIR Officials At Michigan Mosque Ahead Of Abdul El-Sayed Senate Primary: Our Religion Is A Gift That Needs To Be Shared; We Love This Country, But Need To Correct It; Michigan Muslims Continue To Make History; We Expect You To Vote; If You Use Your Power And Money, Candidates Will Change Their Positions,” MEMRI, July 24, 2026:

In Gatestone Institute’s interview with Alexandre del Valle, he warned: “Many Islamists tell Muslims in Europe that their presence in a non-Muslim country can be justified only on two conditions. First, they must re-Islamize in order to protect themselves from the supposedly harmful influence of the unbelieving societies. Second, they must contribute to expanding the Muslim community until it one day becomes dominant. In this mindset, living in Europe becomes acceptable only if one works to transform it gradually into an Islamized space.”

The same thing is happening to America; we are watching it take place in various cities and communities around us. “Civilizational erasure” will become our lot if we do not resist it as a nation.

These are only the tip of the iceberg that “Titanic America” is sailing into. America is far-along this slippery slope to secularism and Islamism. In 2015, I wrote an article asking: “There IS a vacuum; will it be filled by the aggressive theology of violent Islam or with the love of Christ?”

We see the answer forming around us, but with God nothing is impossible. That’s the thing though – WITH GOD! Will we return to our civilization and the Judeo-Christian truth that it was built upon? Will we return to God in humble repentance, looking at our feet and HIS path, and like David quickly turning them back to His ways? (Psalm 119:50-60, “I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies. I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.”)

Rod Dreher warns: “If we don’t recover Christianity in the West – in some meaningful way, not just a nominal way – then Islam will be the heir, because you can’t fight something with nothing.”

America! Repent or Perish… European style. Wake up and stand up; get off the path of least resistance.
