Michigan Patriots – Your Presence is Needed!

Michigan patriot citizens – your presence is needed in Lansing, this Thursday, June 25 at 10:00 a.m. to show your support for Ralph Rebandt!  We must push back against Jocelyn Benson’s efforts to corrupt our electoral process!

Long before Ralph Rebandt ran for governor here in Michigan, my wife Jan and I had several opportunities over the years to interact with Ralph and his wife Carol at different events and knew of his highly-regarded leadership and ministry at the thriving church he pastored – Oakland Hills Community Church.  I strongly doubt that he had any inclination of running for governor at that time, but clearly he was concerned for our country, the condition of our churches in America, and living for Christ in a growing secular culture.  I mention this as a backdrop as I express troubled concern over what the state of Michigan has done to him in recent weeks.

Over the years, I witnessed from afar a growing awareness of a call upon Ralph’s heart to run for the office of governor.  Christian patriot Ralph Rebandt, with a burdened heart for America, sensed the call to stir hearts for his state and our nation and formed a grassroots organization called Michigan Lighthouse Ministries, seeking to partner with pastors to educate, encourage, and mobilize their congregations to stand up, speak up, and show up in promoting the Christian faith within the God-ordained institution of government.

As Ralph felt the call of God to run for governor in 2026, he quickly became the hands down leading candidate among grassroots voters across the state of Michigan.  In debates with other gubernatorial candidates, he was considered the winner.  He has a well-thought-out plan to re-build our state’s economy, restore family values, protect parental rights, and recover Michigan’s founding principles.

Then, just weeks ago, Republican gubernatorial candidate Ralph Rebandt, the strongest conservative in the field, was eliminated from the primary – not by voters, but by unelected bureaucrats with ties to our corrupt Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson [D] – who is also running for governor and overseeing her own election.

Benson’s Bureau of Elections claimed, based on a sampling of only 750 signatures out of over 18,000 submitted, that Rebandt didn’t have enough “valid” signatures to get on the ballot.  The needed number of signatures is 15,000.  The Election Bureau is using a rule it created, not based on Michigan law.  Benson’s Bureau of Elections created its own Policy Manual that applies a “sampling” process to determine whether there are enough valid signatures to qualify.  Legislation to codify this sampling method was actually vetoed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer [D], stating that every signature must be examined, expressing concern about public confidence and inaccurate outcomes.  Even though Whitmer vetoed the sampling process, Benson’s Bureau of Elections continues to use it without any authority to do so. This is another example of unelected bureaucrats overriding the will of the people and their right to determine their leaders.

Ralph Rebandt took the fight to the Democrat-controlled Michigan Court of Appeals, which denied his petition and did not rule on the merits of the case, followed by the Democrat majority Michigan Supreme Court, which refused to hear the case. He is now seeking justice through the Federal Court.

This Thursday, June 25 at 10:00 a.m., Ralph Rebandt will hold a press conference on the steps of the Michigan Capitol in Lansing, Michigan.  Michigan citizens – you are strongly urged to attend and show your support for Ralph Rebandt and push back against the efforts to deny Michigan citizens the right to vote for the candidate of their choice!

In the press release below, Ralph Rebandt writes: “This case is bigger than one campaign.  It is about transparency, equal treatment under the law, and to ensure that Michigan voters can have confidence in the integrity of the ballot process.  We believe every qualified candidate deserves a fair review, and every voter deserves confidence that election procedures are being administered consistently and transparently. …

“From the beginning, this campaign has been about serving God, serving Michigan, and standing for truth.  While the legal process continues, our commitment remains unchanged.  We are encouraged by the prayers, encouragement, and support we have received from thousands of citizens, pastors, churches, delegates, and grassroots volunteers across our state.”
