The battle rages on! Though there are many battles which confront us, our three Decency Minutes point out some of them, it is really but one battle – the battle for truth and righteousness. Yes, spiritual warfare abounds and our rest and hope must be in the Lord, even as we fight the good fight of faith on many fronts.
It’s sad to see America and her citizenry surrender ground that our founders fought and gave their lives for; the cost was great. We’ve seen ground surrendered that was secured through fighting and thinking, and then established by a Constitution meant to protect our God-given rights. (Election integrity is only one of these protected rights which has been surrendered, mostly through trust and ignorance) People are starting to wake up; many finally see the dangers which surround them and believe it’s time to reclaim these surrendered grounds. But the enemies of truth, justice, and liberty won’t whimper away into the night; it’s a battle that is ours to fight – in legal action, tireless redress, standing on righteousness, educating and warning others, and through our greatest weapon – praying in faith to the God of Heaven.
As sad as it is to see America surrender ground to the enemy, it’s sadder yet to see the church surrender ground to the enemy of our soul. Sometimes this takes place denominationally; we’ve witnessed all sorts of churches surrender ground to the LGBTQ+ and Islamic agendas, in hopes of showing “love” or desirous of being accepted by the masses. Some churches have become lax in holiness, rarely preach on sin, deny vital truths which used to be held in high regard, and the list goes on. Yes, the battle rages on; it’s spiritual warfare and our true enemy is the devil – “…He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” (Jn. 8:44) There are many, even in the church, that fall into Satan’s deceptive traps. Of course, the above can happen on an individual level as well.
Satan’s hatred of truth and righteousness haven’t changed, neither have his devices. He continues to be as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour; he attacks nations, churches, and individuals.
Take heart, Christian, we’ve not only been given warning about Satan and his devices, we’ve also been told how to combat him. The battle not only rages, we’ve got to be in it as good soldiers, contending for the faith. One such battle-ready portion of Scripture can be found in 1 Peter 5:6-11.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”
I would encourage you to prayerfully and meditatively read these verses. Recognize God’s great care for you and fight the battles placed before you in faith, knowing that the victory belongs to God and the end of our efforts is to the glory and dominion of Christ.
Socialism: A spiritual rebellion
The rising insurgency of socialism is not shy about their plans to dismantle our Constitutional Republic and replace it with a socialist state.
Yet, at its root, socialism is not merely a political movement, but a spiritual rebellion. It’s a defiant rejection of God. Rather than recognizing our Heavenly Father as our provider and sustainer, the state becomes people’s provider – and their master.
Socialism repudiates the Biblical principles which caused America to thrive. Scripture commands us to work, while affirming the blessings we receive from our labor.
In the Ten Commandments alone, socialism violates the first and the last commandment – and several in between. Supplanting God with government, stealing from those who work to give to those who won’t, coveting what others have earned.
Of course, Christians are to generously help those in need. But such giving comes from a transformed heart, not government compulsion.
SAVE the nation or the Democrat Party
The SAVE America Act now sits before the senate; will they “SAVE” our nation or save the Democrat Party.
Senator Sloktin stated that the SAVE Act “would literally allow this administration to rig our democracy so that it would be hard for any Democrat in any state to win any election.”
In recent years, we’ve watched Democrats attempt to dismantle our Constitution, open our borders, trample on personal freedom, attack our nation’s founders, and encourage violence against fellow Americans. They desire to destroy what made America great.
If commonsense methods like voter ID and proof of citizenship make it hard for Democrats to win elections, then that is a step to saving America.

The Death of Robin Hood, the Odyssey, Little House on the Prairie – the list of Western myths and stories being made into modern movie adaptations goes on and on.
But, almost all of these new takes on old stories have something in common, and careful viewers can find it in nearly every Hollywood adaptation of old legends or heroes over the last several decades.
They’re always preaching the same message.
You thought your heroes were strong, but they were really weak. You thought your heroes were good, but they were really evil. You thought you had something to be proud of in your traditions, but you should be ashamed of them.
It’s nothing short of cultural destruction.
Our culture has a Christian heritage that we can be proud of!
We must reject the left’s attempts to retell our stories and smear our heroes.
