This week’s Decency Minutes (DM) all deal with death. Whether it’s a culture of death (DM 1) within our society which robs our nation of future strength, workforce, economic stability, and collaterally causes us (nationally and, in many cases, individually) to have a callousing over of heart and mind; or it’s an ideology/theology of pain and death (DM 2 and 3) found within the Islamic religion which is aimed both inward at its own people and outward at those who withstand it; it’s death which is invading our nation at an alarming rate. Most people either fear death or long to evade it for as long as possible, yet we are ideologically and socially embracing it – so long as it’s not on our own front porch and knocking at our door.
While darkness and death may surround us, we can take comfort in the fact “that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” (1 Jn. 1:5) We can have a blessed hope which extends beyond the culture that surrounds us because Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (Jn. 14:6) He is “the brightness of his (God the Father’s) glory, and the express image of his person (Heb. 1:3), and was sent by His Father into the world that we might have eternal life because God loves us so much. (Jn. 3:16)
That’s why we have a responsibility to stand for the Light and Life (which automatically puts us in opposition to the dark and death). That’s why we must share the truth with those we meet and to do so in love – not in annoyance, frustration, or hate. As we walk into this weekend, let us walk in the Light and be a beacon that points to Christ.
Pope John Paul famously issued a warning about the rise of a “culture of death.” Social liberals and feminists mocked and jeered at the late pope’s warning.
Those same groups today are cheering for Lindsey Clansey who murdered her three children and may yet get away with it.
Feminists and liberals mocked the pope’s warning, but they support Canada’s MAID system, which “treats” patients by providing suicide as a means of supposed comfort. The system is now a leading cause of death in Canada.
At least one woman says her grandma was coerced into accepting the so-called service and didn’t understand what she was agreeing to.
Caring for the vulnerable in our society is now an inconvenience that can be mitigated by a fatal dose of drugs.
A CNN host was aghast that Michigan voters won’t vote for those who hold unAmerican beliefs. A recent poll showed that 45 percent of Michiganders overall, and 78 percent of Republicans, stated they would not vote for a Muslim candidate.
CNN wants to paint this as Islamophobic. However, it’s not bigotry to question the implications for our nation if politicians, such as Abdul El-Sayed, swear allegiance to Islamic ideology – which seeks to overthrow western civilization. Rather, voters have an obligation to determine if a candidate’s worldview is compatible with the Constitution. Yet, too many are bullied into silence by accusations of Islamophobia.
Islam is not just another religion. It’s an ideology seeking to conquer Christianity and America.

Islam has not come to America to coexist! It cannot; Sharia demands that all other laws – including America’s Constitution – and all people submit to it. There’s no freedom; Sharia is an Islamic, brutally repressive totalitarian code rooted in the Qur’an. It governs every area of one’s life and society as a whole. Under Sharia:
* There’s no free speech.
* To not be Muslim is to be an infidel and the Islamist is justified in violence against infidels.
* Women are second-class citizens, forced to wear certain clothing, and young girls are made to undergo barbaric female genital mutilation.
* Lying is okay if it will advance the jihad agenda.
Will America join Europe and much of the rest of the world in submitting to Sharia? God forbid!
