It’s been said that change is the only constant in life. Change is hard for many. Whether it’s a change in our health, our job, church, or relationships, change can bring anxiety. Some people even dread “good” change. Politically, the changes have seemed to be fast and often furious. There’s been a huge cultural change in how we view history, truth, and the Word of God.
When everything around us is changing, let us have confidence in this truth: God NEVER changes and His promises are always sure.
Let’s face it, our state, nation, and the world are changing before our very eyes. If this past week’s election results are any indication, more change is soon coming, like a whirlwind. This week’s first Decency Minute (DM) shows that America’s political, economic, and spiritual ideologies are morphing from our freedom-loving foundations into unrighteous ways that will eventually bring tyranny, shackles, and death. This ought not to be viewed as fear-mongering nor should we give way to anxiety or fatalism. Instead, it should motivate us to work, warn, and witness, recognizing that this world is not our home and that our hope is in the Lord. Yet while we are here, we have a duty to perform.
The Bible is full of God’s promises, both positive and negative. What are some of the promises God has made to the believer? If we end up living in a country that eventually persecutes Christians (as is happening around the world), we had better shore up our faith, know the Word, and stand on its truth and its promises. I urge you to get into the Word and get the Word into you.
Our second DM speaks plainly to the changes that are happening as the unrighteous rule; it brings us to wonder with Habakkuk of old: Lord, how long will you allow such wickedness, violence, and injustice to continue? Even the judgment which goes forth from the wicked is no justice at all because they have made the law powerless.
Perhaps, some of us feel a little like David: “But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.” (Ps. 73:2-3)
But God… Later in Psalm 73, David remembered the promises of God regarding the end of those who are evil and the end of those who are righteous. This brought the psalmist to his senses and put him back on his feet, renewing his trust in the Lord and declaring all God’s works. (v. 28)
Our third Decency Minute shows the path Europe took (and America is taking) which led them from freedom to tyranny. We have watched God “shoved out” from many of our institutions while Islam is lifted up. We’ve watched cities across our country be given over to a people group that has America’s destruction as their prime goal – look no further than Dearborn, MI for one prime example.
Yet this invasion need not be completed; we serve a God who delights in making and keeping promises. 2 Chronicles 7:14 is well-traveled ground for many: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Even when things seem upside-down nationally, we can have a calm assurance personally if we are safe in the Lord Jesus Christ. His promises are ever true. Let us stand on His promises surer than we stand on the earth beneath our feet. I leave you with one encouraging example:
An old man in his final moments called in much distress for his minister. “Oh, pastor, I am dying!” he said. “For years I have been feasting on the promises of God, but this morning when I awoke I couldn’t remember one of the them! What shall I do?” The preacher knew that Satan was disturbing him, so he said, “Father Junkins, do you think GOD will forget any of His promises?” Suddenly a sweet smile came over the face of the dying Christian as he exclaimed joyfully, “Praise God, that is wonderful! He’ll keep His promises, won’t He? I’ll just fall asleep and trust Him to remember them all, even though I cannot.” Soon he was “beyond the shadows” in the bright sunlight of the Homeland.
Dear ones, we can stand on Him for He IS the promise, even when we cannot remember His promises. Our God delights in making AND KEEPING promises!
“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)” Heb. 10:23
USA or USSA? What are we going to be?
Radical Islamist Abdul El-Sayed is one step closer to becoming a Michigan Senator. His primary win shows the growing power of those espousing communist and Islamic ideology in America.
El-Sayed not only pushes a socialist agenda, including abolishing ICE and defunding police, he also has ties to radical Islamic groups and has repeatedly expressed sympathy for terrorists. Just last month El-Sayed stated that the nation of Israel should not exist.
Many think that Republican Mike Rogers will defeat El-Sayed in November. However, El-Sayed just proved that there’s a vast momentum of voters embracing the socialist-communist agenda.
The choice isn’t between liberal or conservative, but whether constitutional America will continue to stand.
We grassroot conservatives need to do everything we can – make phone calls, knock on doors, and pray fervently – or we could easily have a socialist and terrorist sympathizer as Michigan’s next senator.
Where is Righteousness? Where is Justice?
As we draw nearer and nearer to November’s midterms, we’re reminded again and again how much the future of our nation and culture hangs on our elections.
Videos from several weeks ago showed the Spanish city of Ceuta overrun by tens of thousands of male, military-aged Moroccans, reminding us how quickly an open border can result in chaos and destruction for law abiding citizens.
In New York City, we learned more about the socialist grocery stores the Mayor Mamdani has planned.
And, as we recently heard Anthony Fauci plead the fifth for all his crimes, but which he seems to be getting away with thanks to former President Biden’s pardon, we’re reminded how poor leadership prevents justice.
As Proverbs 29:2 says, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”
In 2011, William Federer warned: “Europe has gone from Judeo-Christian to the secular… Once you get rid of religion, nobody’s going to kill and die to defend Europe… And so, into Europe comes Sharia Law Islam, and it’s taking over entire cities and communities… You go from drive into neutral before you go into reverse. You had to go from Judeo-Christian to secular before you became Islamic.”
America is far-along this slippery slope to secularism. In 2015, we wrote an article asking: “There IS a vacuum; will it be filled by the aggressive theology of violent Islam or with the love of Christ?”
Today, the Muslim Brotherhood is expanding its infrastructure in Texas with a $16.5 million dollar Sharia property operated by the Islamic Center of Irving and funded in part by Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Qatar.
America! Repent or Perish… European style.
