Ruined Lives!

Natural disasters can ruin lives; poor decisions we make can ruin lives; sometimes the choices of others can cause pain, stress, or ruin, at times in a circle of influence that can spread around the globe and/or will reach down through succeeding generations. Whether it’s the sin of our first parents or the sin of someone around us, SIN RUINS LIVES. But thanks be to God, He overcomes sin and has made a way for us to do so as well. We may not be able to avoid all the consequences of sin, but because of Christ we can choose to love and forgive, thereby being conformed into His image day by day, by the power of His Spirit.

This week’s Decency Minutes, narrated by Bill Johnson, gives some good examples for us to work with.

There may be several readers who are personally acquainted with the topic of our first Decency Minute. I’ve been surprised at the number of heart-broken parents searching for answers that I’ve come across, whose children (young or adult) have left a therapist’s office only to then bitterly break the child/parent bond. Surprisingly, many of the parents I know thought they had a good relationship, then out of the blue, the child tells their parents that they no longer want anything to do with them. No discussion, no attempt at reconciliation, it’s over. The joyful memories built over the decades are now skewed; “nothing good ever happened.” This has become a kind of epidemic. No parent is perfect; we’ve all made our fair share of mistakes. But this is an attack from the enemy to ruin lives, to destroy what God has built and designed for strong communities, strong churches, and strong nations – the family. If not handled biblically, it has devastating effects for generations to come, either directly or collaterally.

Our second Decency Minute deals with the ruin of a nation’s greatest resource: its children. In recent decades, not discounting the many good and Christian teachers, superintendents, and others, public school systems have been introducing textbooks and teaching which run in direct violation to God’s design and His law; it has negative consequences upon the children and teens entrusted to their care. As the LGBTQ+ agenda, socialism, Islam, and attacks on common sense and truth have been heralded; while American history, its founders, and the Bible have been denigrated; it’s not only an attack on our nation, but on our children’s hearts, minds, souls, and bodies as well. These new dolls with interchangeable parts fosters confusion, blurs reality, and could also have devastating effects that might reach down through the generations.

There’s hardly anyone in the USA or around the globe that hasn’t had their lives affected in some way or ruined by the topic of our third Decency Minute. COVID 19, the mandates which were foisted upon the public, and the so-called vaccine were all terrible; there are many ways in which the devastation continues to be felt, not only from the past, but also now, and in generations to come: the death of a loved one; loss of employment or a business; impaired cognitive, developmental, emotional, social, and educational abilities; rights and liberties being wrested from us; normalization of government overreach; et al.

Yes, sin (our own and that of others) ruins lives. However, that doesn’t mean that we need to take on a victim mentality or anger or apathetically throw up our hands in resignation. Rather, we are called to love, to call upon God, to trust in Him, and to diligently add to our faith. We are commanded to give thanks in all things, show compassion, live according to the Word of God, and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Instead of being ruined, we are called to be redeemed, restored, and made to be holy by His grace, mercy, and power. The trials God sends our way or allows are meant to make us stronger by humbly drawing into Him. I like what George MacDonald says: “I would rather be what God chose to make me than the most glorious creature that I could think of; for to have been thought about, born in God’s thought, and then made by God, is the dearest, grandest, and most precious things in all thinking.

Might we deal righteously with others that they can know the saving and healing power of God. Might we turn the unrighteous over to God for He says that vengeance is His. And might we sing with David in the closing of his imprecatory prayer to almighty God in Psalm 59:

But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.” (v. 16-17)

Divorced From Their Heritage

In recent years there’s been an epidemic of divorce, but not the kind of divorce most think of – teens and adult children are “divorcing their parents.” It’s UNBIBLICAL; refusing forgiveness and reconciliation, it promotes hate rather than love. It robs future generations of a precious God-given gift: their heritage and an opportunity to develop a healthy relationship with their grandparents which ties them to their past and, if they are godly grandparents, points them to a glorious future.

Podcaster Katie Miller warns: “Therapy has become incredibly dangerous for societal bonds. In a new study, 1/3 of parents believe their child won’t speak to them because of a therapist’s influence. This is how countries weaken and fall apart… Therapists are creating a mental health crisis by actively encouraging patients to cut off their families.

May God cement our families together for His glory.

Public Schools Introduce Transgender Dolls

The latest comes from a Minnesota program which created transgender dolls for schools to use with children as young as four years old.  The dolls have interchangeable genitalia and will be used as propaganda to instill transgender ideology in young children who don’t understand the difference between make-believe and reality.

As the program proudly claims, they will use these dolls with detachable genitalia to teach children, and I quote, “to realize all the different options for who they can be, regardless of their body parts.

Children at that age don’t yet understand the immutability of one’s biological sex, making them perfect targets for the left’s brainwashing.  Parents with children in public schools: be vigilant!

As leftists normalize the mutilation of God’s good design, they would do well to heed His warning about millstones.

Justice for Fauci’s Victims!

It may be hard to believe, but the Covid pandemic and tyrannical government response to it only occurred a few years ago.

Most of the world has moved on, but Senator Rand Paul is still doggedly pursuing answers about who is responsible and justice for the lives ruined and ended by this disease.

Senator Paul recently subpoenaed and released to the public the diary of the mastermind of the Covid response, and perhaps the pandemic itself, Dr. Anthony Fauci.

His private reflections reveal that while Fauci publicly portrayed confidence that the virus developed naturally, in private he and doctors under him themselves wondered if Covid 19 wasn’t developed in a lab under a program funded by the agency Fauci himself ran.

Thank God for those working to hold responsible those who altered and ruined so many lives. We must not let this go until justice is done.
