Why Vote?
When asking the question, “Why should I vote?” we need only look as far as the enemies of America, especially those domestic ones, to see the all-apparent answer. Let’s look very briefly at some reasons we should vote.
Islam is NOT here to coexist; it is here to dominate.
Communism is NOT here to coexist; it is here to choke out vitality.
Leftists have become a people who have no desire to coexist; they want to legislate true liberty out of existence.
In each of the instances above, it’s important to look and discern where the path they are on will lead. The best legal means for us to confront these evils which desire to see the demise of America, turning it into something else, is at the voting booth. Voting is both a duty and a privilege; it’s our responsibility working in accordance with God’s sovereignty.
George Washington boldly stated, “I shall not be deprived…of a comfort in the worst event, if I retain a consciousness of having acted to the best of my judgment.”
Stonewall Jackson, in the midst of the Civil War, rightly declared: “Duty is ours; results belong to God.”
* A Duty: Loving our neighbor as ourself – fulfilling, in part, the Second Great Commandment. When we are given a voice in what may happen to ourselves or our neighbors, and we see “blessing” and “cursing” set before us, but remain silent, it is neither showing love for God or our neighbor. It’s also a means, albeit a minimal means, of contending for the faith.
* A Privilege: Our Constitution allows our voice to be heard; it’s a privilege, one that should not lightly be dismissed. To be silent when given an opportunity of expression for or against a person who will decide the course of our happiness and this nation’s security, is to forfeit the right of complaint.
* Keeps our hand in the legislative game. To remove any resistance, to give up (not vote) is a means of resignation, loss, and that makes us, in part, responsible for the results.
* Former President Regan was correct: “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It has to be fought for and defended by each generation.” Will we do our part to pass the blessings of freedom on to the next generation?
* Playing a role in government is a means of Contending …
…for the faith
…for the Constitution
…for freedom of speech, religion, and life
…for our American culture (which is not white culture but multicultural bound together in unity for this nation and its principles)
…for life
Can we live and speak and worship regardless of what system prevails over a people? IN CHRIST, yes, we can. We have true liberty in Jesus. BUT, we should defend the blessings of freedom which has been handed to us by God, that liberty may prevail, that our children and grandchildren may know the blessing of worshiping freely and thinking rightly without persecution. And that we might teach them to contend for the faith.
“DUTY IS OURS; RESULTS BELONG TO GOD!”
During President Trump’s recent summit in China, he advocated for the release of imprisoned Christians. Yet days later, Chinese Communist officials destroyed a prominent Christian church, after arresting 103 church members.
This is just one example that demonstrates China’s true colors. They’re not interested in friendly relations with the U.S. Rather, the communist regime is seeking to subvert America both from without and within.
China has infiltrated our industries, universities, and even elected officials. For instance, the mayor of Arcadia, California was recently found to be a covert CCP agent. Which is why President Trump welcoming half a million Chinese students into the U.S. – each one a potential agent – puts our national security at risk.
Urge President Trump to reverse his position on student visas for Chinese nationals. Call the White House at 202-456-1414.
In Sweden, police were called to dismantle Christians handing out free Bibles near a school; they weren’t on school property and students voluntarily came to talk to them. One news site noted that Muslim groups distributing Qurans rarely face local business interference or police intervention.
Such double standards don’t exist in America, right?
Wylie East High School in Texas had an Islamic group come in during lunch to give out hijabs, Qurans, and pamphlets on Sharia to students. Principal Tiffany Doolan, dressed in a hijab, joined in, but later, she REFUSED CHRISTIAN PARENTS to come on school property to pass out free Bibles!
We’ve been warning that the infiltration of Islam into our country and its institutions is spiritual warfare. Christian, wake up and see the attacks on Christ and His followers around the world. We MUST become diligent contenders of the faith.
