All elections come with consequences and expectations; there must be election integrity, voter interaction, and pressing upon the elected to fulfill their constitutional duties for both the republic and their constituents.
We live in a time where few seem to realize what a privilege it is to play a role in the election process. Perhaps that’s because many cast their ballot and then remove themselves from the process until they step back into their precinct voting booth with black pen in hand to fill in a bunch of ovals, again.
Unfortunately, there are many Christians and conservatives who don’t even do that! What keeps them from expressing their desires and needs, using their vote as a voice? Perhaps they’ve lost faith in the system, maybe they believe that one voice doesn’t make a difference, it’s possible – thought it’s hard to imagine – that they just don’t care what happens.
Our first line of defense from a human standpoint is our government and its Constitution which is meant to “provide for the common defense” and to “promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty.” We must care, it’s part of “loving your neighbor as yourself.” If we have lost faith in the system, keep your faith in God. As Stonewall Jackson said, “Duty is ours; consequences are God’s.” Your one voice adds to others until there is a choir of us singing the sweet song of liberty and justice for all.
Therefore, it’s of utmost importance to vote rightly and to urge others to do likewise. As our third Decency Minute script declares, “it’s our duty and our privilege to act in righteousness as we wait upon the Lord in His grand and sovereign design.”
Because of the urgency of the hour and the increasing dangers which surround us, American Decency is hosting an event on Friday, May 29 at 6:00 PM. It will be held at our office (203 E. Main St. ~ Fremont, MI).
As stated above, Christians and conservatives HAVE NOT and ARE NOT VOTING! We want to talk about it. Then together – do something about it. Other counties in Michigan are waking up; can we in Newaygo County? We urge you to prayerfully come to this meeting and bring a friend. We need both prayer and action.
Can We Say “All Lives Matter” Now?
“I can’t breathe.”
Six years ago, those words by George Floyd ignited an international firestorm. Police protests, violent riots, the launch of a movement to defund police departments nationwide, all because of one white police officer’s use of a controversial submission maneuver on a drug-addled black criminal with a history of violence which resulted in his death.
Just recently, those were also the last words of a young white man in the UK. Henry Nowak was stabbed by a Sikh immigrant who accused him of racially abusing him.
When police arrived, they handcuffed and arrested the wounded man! Nowak subsequently drowned in his own blood.
Zero protests; zero reports in mainstream media. After Floyd’s death, Black Lives Matter became a rallying cry for minorities, while “All Lives Matter” was viewed as hate speech. Can we say “all lives matter” now?
A sickening video went viral of a pregnant woman taking abortion pills at her own gender reveal party after finding out she was having a girl. As she celebrates the murder of her baby, other women gathered around are heard chanting “kill it.”
Since the Dobbs decision restored the right of states to determine abortion policy, 20 states have greatly restricted abortion, including the state where this woman is from.
Yet thanks first to Biden and now the Trump administration, abortion drugs are being mailed into states where their use is illegal – which is a violation of federal law.
To the frustration of pro-life voters, the Trump administration has left these Biden-era policies in place.
The Trump administration recently launched a program providing help to expectant moms – yet at the same time refuses to stop the shipment of abortion drugs.

Florida’s Gov. DeSantis recently signed a bill that will slow Islamic influence in his state by banning CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood from funding charitable organizations.
This won’t defeat Islam, but it will slow its growth. That’s why informed voting is vital, we must keep a legislative hand in the fight.
Our hope isn’t in the government, it’s in the Lord. Those whom we have hired through the electoral process are largely unwilling to pass the necessary laws that will bring this Islamic crisis to a close. THIS PUTS US IN JEOPARDY, for our first line of defense from a human standpoint is our government and its Constitution.
Therefore, it’s of utmost importance to vote rightly and to urge others to do likewise; it’s our duty and our privilege to act in righteousness as we wait upon the Lord in His grand and sovereign design.
