Your Support At Work In 2025

By: Chris Johnson

Thank you for subscribing to the email alerts of the American Decency Association! ADA would not exist without the faithful support of our gracious audience and readership. We feel a true partnership with our supporters in this ministry. Below, you will find a summary of what we have been up to over the past year. If you would like to support the continuation of our efforts, please click here to access our online donation page or call us at 231-924-4050.

As we look back at the projects we’ve worked on and what we’ve accomplished in 2025, I encourage you to take a second and recall what our concerns were just a little over a year ago. So much of our time and energy in 2024 was spent educating, informing, and encouraging people to PRAY going into a vital election.

Not that this year hasn’t brought its own concerns and complications, but we would be remiss not to highlight how many prayers have been answered in 2025 which we couldn’t have imagined at this time in 2024.

DEI ideology is OUT. Rates of people “identifying” as transgender are way down. The Texas border is no longer an open flood gate, and the White House is speaking up for persecuted Christians.

While we can credit these, and many more, accomplishments to the new administration, we know that ultimately, these are acts of God and answers to our prayers.

So, let’s start off this review of 2025 by glorifying God for all He has done. His hand has brought us these blessings.

He has also held us, His people, through some unimaginable tragedies.

Charlie Kirk was assassinated for articulating many of the same beliefs that mark this organization and our supporters.

In the weeks surrounding Kirk’s murder, we also saw an innocent girl killed because she was white, children shot because they were at a Christian school, ICE agents shot at, and now National Guardsmen shot, and one executed, because they were following orders from a president many of us voted for and carrying out policies many of us support.

In all this violence, we see the Woke ideology working out from beliefs into actions. All of these atrocities go to show that the spiritual warfare we have been engaged in over the past four decades has very real consequences.

Against this chaos, ADA has done our best to be a light in the dark, the salt in a decaying world, a voice crying out in the wilderness.

We began the year with two big goals: the creation and launch of a new podcast and the planning and execution of a 40th anniversary celebration – all while continuing the daily email alerts, monthly newsletters, and occasional special events we plan throughout the year.

We had camera and audio equipment to buy, a studio to build, graphics to produce, and guests to invite, but with the help of some generous donations, by April we were ready to launch Finally: a Decent Podcast!

Boy, have we learned a lot already. We have settled on releasing one episode per week, and now have over twenty episodes uploaded to our YouTube and Rumble channels, podcast platforms, and social sites. Along the way, we were bolstered by the presence of a young intern, Caleb, who’s helped us with graphic design, promotional video production, and writing for our newsletter.  We’d like to extend special gratitude to the Greers, who have underwritten the support of Next Horizon Studios to work with us as we’ve gotten started.

We’ve interviewed many interesting guests who will be familiar to our audiences, including Kamal Saleem, Jim Simpson, Sandy Rios, several of our board members, and even several old friends from the days when we were American Family Association of Michigan. We’d be honored to have you check it out. The easiest way to find it is to go to AmericanDecency.org and click on the Podcasts tab.

Our next big goal was to plan and prepare for our celebration of the 40 years that God has sustained our organization through the generosity of supporters like you. We were honored to have many of you attend as we shared a delicious meal cooked by our own hands and with the help of many dear friends. We heard from our old friend and our former state Representative John Llewellyn, our current state Representative Joseph Fox, and Bill’s son-in-law Pastor Chris Starr as they shared messages of encouragement. We also heard beautiful music in the form of a solo by Bill’s daughter Jenny and the violins of some more of our talented friends.

We thank all of you who were able to honor us with your presence, and hope that we get the chance to celebrate together again someday.

While these were our big goals for the year, we had plenty of other projects to keep us busy along the way.

As we have for the past several years, we hosted Newaygo County Right to Life’s March for Life in January in protest of over half a century of legal abortion in the US.

In February, we hosted a screening of American Family Studios’ documentary, Culture Warrior about the life of our hero, Don Wildmon which featured clips from our president, Bill Johnson and then we also shared the popular Angel Studios production, Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot, with our Fremont, MI audience the following week.

In March, we invited the author of the book, Manufactured Crisis, James Simpson, to speak in three West Michigan locations, including a breakfast we hosted with him along with State Representative Joseph Fox and former State Representative John Llewellyn.

April saw us launch Finally: a Decent Podcast, and in May, we hosted our city’s National Day of Prayer Event.

Our summer was wrapped up in preparation for our 40th anniversary event at Faith Baptist Church, here in Fremont. We received many affirmations that this was a blessing to those who attended. Praise the Lord!

Jay Jusino returned for his 3rd time in October to give another of his well-researched deep-dive presentations into world elites’ globalist agenda, this time focusing on technocracy, or government by “Big Tech,” and their influence on the Trump administration and the conservative movement.

As you can see, we had big goals and events planned for 2025, and we were able to host some smaller events as well, but our day to day tasks kept us busy as well.

ADA continued to provide informative and encouraging email alerts several times a week, as well as our weekly podcast, and our minute-long Decency Minute radio program which plays on our local AFR station and several internet radio stations around the country. We also started doing something new with one of those programs every week – we turn it into a YouTube short/ Facebook Reel by enhancing it with video clips, images, and captions. You can find those, along with our podcast, by searching for “American Decency Association” on YouTube or Facebook.

Our intern, Caleb, put a special effort into a short video documentary for the Thanksgiving season, highlighting the goodness of God our Father, using Bill’s story of his dog who ran away and was recovered through incredible efforts over a month later and 30 miles away, which can also be found on our YouTube and Rumble pages.

And, we continued to produce our monthly Frontline newsletter, eight pages of original articles written by our staff to warn, encourage, and exhort our readers towards living Godly lives in an increasingly challenging culture. What we hope sets us apart, as we report on wickedness in the world, is our distinctly Christian perspective; it is always our goal to leave our readers looking to God’s Word for guidance and for their ultimate Hope.

Along with those newsletters, we often include postcards targeting organizations or government officials whose attention we seek to point towards God’s Truth, or who we would like to encourage in their good works.

These included postcard campaigns to Wheaton College who caved to pressure and apologized for supporting Wheaton Alumni Russ Vought for his position in the Trump administration; we also addressed a postcard to President Trump, urging him to block the interstate sale of the abortion drug, mifepristone. We encourage our representative, John Moolenaar, with another campaign, for his strong stance against the Chinese Communist Party influenced Gotion battery plant trying to build a plant in West Michigan, which was ultimately squashed. Influencers and reality TV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines received one for their decision to feature a homosexual couple as stars on the latest TV show they produced. Most recently, we again sent postcards to Trump, encouraging him to strengthen his support of the persecuted Christians in Nigeria.

We also send monthly bulletin inserts containing powerful, spiritual articles to churches across Michigan.

ADA is staffed with mission-driven individuals who love God, our families, our churches, and our communities and seek to serve them in mission opportunities outside of ADA as well as within.
