Mamdani: Red-Green Axis Candidate?

or Marxism combining with Islamism (known as the Red-Green Axis – communism/socialism combined with Islam) to go after what we call the American way of life.” Reader, this warning is personified in the ideology of mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, a Muslim, Democratic Socialist. I’m amazed that Mamdani can fare so well in making his bid for mayor in the city that says “Never Forget 9-11” to honor its victims and heroes; New York City may likely be electing a Muslim to govern over them!

If we live elsewhere, we dare not say, “So what? I live in ______!” We must admit how big the Big Apple is and the fact that, through its “exportation” of culture, arts, business, entertainment, academia, etc., it takes a bite out of other states and beyond – it eventually affects us all.

America Out Loud News shares Trevor Loudon’s picturesque warning of what a Mamdani win would look like: “A Mamdani win, Loudon predicts, would transform NYC into an ‘Islamo-communist counter-state’: weakening police intelligence, promoting radical institutions, and eroding the tax base amid a wealthy exodus. With 6-7 DSA councilors already in place, it mirrors Marxist strongholds like Jackson, Mississippi, or London’s mayoralty under Sadiq Khan.”

It’s one thing when a conservative like Loudon signals a warning, but when very liberal newspapers like The Washington Post (WP) and The New York Times (NYT) find cause for concern from liberal, socialist, Muslim candidate Mamdani, ALL of us should be concerned.

Dr. Al Mohler, on The Briefing, quoted from NYT article “As Mamdani Picks Up Steam, he Tones Down his Stances.”: “In the roughly five years since Zohran Mamdani first started campaigning for public office, he has argued that prostitution should be decriminalized. He has called to defund the police. He has said that billionaires should not exist and that the admissions test for New York City’s elite public schools should be abolished.” This story continues, “But before he began his long shot bid to become the Democratic nominee for mayor last year, he abandoned some of his most provocative views and during the course of his campaign, he has sought to downplay others.” On this same topic, WP reports: “Mamdani has not backed off his signature calls for free universal child care and buses, city-owned grocery stores, freezing rent on 1 million regulated apartments, increasing the minimum wage to $30 an hour and crippling new taxes.” Remember, what happens in New York doesn’t stay in New York; it affects the rest of us as well, even if indirectly.

Socialism has been tried and has failed around the world. Eventually, it ends in hunger, darkness, and piles of bodies – either from a dictator’s demand or from the end result of those failed policies. NEVER FORGET – someone pays the piper; the cost is always life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Progressive, socialist, and Islamic ideologies run contrary to our Constitution – they cannot coexist. On another front, the WP writes: “He’s [Mamdani] working hard to convince voters he’s not the radical that his own words make him out to be.” This shouldn’t surprise us. As a Muslim, if Mamdani were using his bid for mayor as a form of jihad, it would be within his theological framework to lie/deceive; it’s called “taqiyya.” If the WP isn’t buying Mamdani’s “deradicalization,” neither should those of us with minds that are aware of progressive, socialist, Islamic, oft-used tactics.

We’ve seen what has been and continues to be the Islamification of Europe; we read headline upon headline regarding Britain’s giving deference to Islamic attacks against its citizens; we see how Sharia law is being upheld while prior legislated law is trampled underfoot around the world for those who hold strict adherence to the tenets of Allah. We must not be blind to the jihad that is being waged in our own land, a country which has been founded upon Biblical principles and the Christian faith. Jihad is being waged against the very God-given blessings that have been bestowed upon America from its inception. We must recognize it for what it is.

Also, as a Muslim mayor of New York City – having the second largest Jewish population of any city in the world – one should have grave concerns. The editorial board of WP writes, “Mamdani remains vehemently anti-Israel, which he accuses of genocide. Under pressure from the Jewish community, however, he agreed in July to discourage the use of the phrase ‘globalize the intifada.’ He repeatedly declined to do so before the Democratic primary, despite its violent connotations.” If one is unaware of what “globalize the intifada” means, Mohler defines it: “a rising up against Israel and it means the elimination of Israel as a state.” An anti-Semite at the head of NYC does not bode well for the Jewish population and a Marxist does not bode well for any. Perhaps that is why Gary Bauer reported yesterday from a recent poll that reveals “if Mamdani wins tomorrow, more than 760,000 New Yorkers are prepared to leave the city. Another 2 million said they would ‘consider’ leaving.”

What of other Islamists in American governmental positions? We’ve recently seen the Muslim mayor of Dearborn, MI attack one of his Christian constituents for questioning the wisdom of renaming one of their streets after Osama Siblani, a man who has publicly “praised Palestinian jihadi groups as ‘heroes,’ lauded the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, and threatened to send Israeli Jews ‘back to Poland.’” (Washington Free Beacon). After the mayor called the Christian an “Islamophobe,” he said, “Although you live here, I want you to know as mayor, you are not welcome here. The day you move out of the city will be the day I launch a parade celebrating the fact that you moved out of the city.” (The Midwesterner)

Let me be clear, not every Muslim who has come to America lies or refuses to assimilate to American ideals and laws, but many, if not most, of those in Congress and other political positions do not hold to the Constitution which they have sworn to uphold and protect. Islam itself is a worldview which is incompatible with our Constitution and the American republican (representative) form of government. We are a Constitutional Republic. Islamic and socialist ideologies are anti-American and anti-Constitutional; their rhetoric attacks America, Christianity, and the Constitution – a constitution which is meant to uphold and protect our freedoms and the American ideal. One cannot defend and hold in high regard both Sharia Law and the United Stated Constitution; they are diametrically opposed one to the other. As Jesus stated, you cannot serve two masters; you will love the one and despise the other. Instead of defending America, they largely disparage America. They show by their words and actions exactly who their master is. Much of the same can be said of the socialists, too. Again, Mamdani is both an adherent to Islam and desires to promote extreme socialist agendas – both of which have the destruction of America as their main goal.

At our beginnings, people flocked to America in order to find a better life, freedom, and opportunity. For some, today, that is still true; however, it would appear that many more are coming to assist in overthrowing America, because we ideologically stand against evil. Pray for our nation as we finish with Charlie Kirk’s warning that we began with:

“We want the American way of life, which is, by the way, Christendom. Christians, our sacrifice, our toil, our vision, the outgrowth of the Scriptures gave us western civilization. And this is where, I think, is a great rallying cry. It doesn’t matter if you’re Hispanic, doesn’t matter if you’re Asian, doesn’t matter if you’re black or white. Everybody, if you are Christian and Jesus Christ is your Lord and Saviour, these two threats are combining forces to come after us. And it’s time that the Church stands and rises up against it.”
