Fraud relies on deception and cannot stand the scrutiny that truth demands; herein lies the road from liberty to tyranny. Regardless of where we look – personally, nationally, globally – “every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved” (Jn. 3:20). Not only do evildoers hate the light, they do what they can to make light seem to be darkness and try to hide the light. Eventually, they attempt to kill the light/truth, but it will always be triumphant in the end.
An Old Testament example of this would be Cain; God warned: “If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire [sin’s desire is to have you], and thou shalt [should] rule over him.” Yet, ignoring God’s warning, Cain killed his brother Abel. Though Cain attempted to deceive, the truth rang out – “The voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.” Eventually, the truth is always revealed.
We’ve watched the Left come out with bigger and bolder deceptions, bald-faced lies, threats and the carrying out of those threats against truth-seekers and truth-tellers. One such threat includes Attorney General Garland’s recent bragging over the plight of J6 “protesters,” using their wrongful treatment as a threat to those who would question rigged elections. In essence, he’s attempting to intimidate the masses into silence; the fewer who speak out results in even fewer who will speak out.
“I think our prosecutions have made clear what we think about people who try to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power, which is [an] essential and fundamental element of our democracy. A quibble about whether we have 1,500 or slightly less than 1,500 — but we have way more than 1400 now — prosecutions. We have a substantial number of convictions. I think that’s shown to everybody how seriously we take an effort to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power the last January 6, the coming January 6, and every January 6 after that. I want to make clear to anybody who is thinking about interfering with that: They can see what we’ve done with respect to the January 6 prosecutions, and [the] Justice Department will continue to protect our democracy.”
Unveiling the not so veiled threat, Pollster Richard Baris explained, “This is what 50% of the country heard from Garland. ‘We’re gonna steal this election, and if you try to fight us, we’ll put you in prison.’”
Back in March, one Federalist article reported that “Attorney General Merrick Garland vowed Sunday to fight election security laws that state legislatures have passed, calling them ‘burdensome’ and ‘unnecessary.’” Again, truth invites the light of inspection and discovery while deception desires to hide in the darkness. Light leads to true liberty while deception is the tool of tyrants. Reminding us that “eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.”
Many states are implementing unconstitutional laws which threaten truth-seekers, attempting to put a lock on our system of checks and balances. In my own state of Michigan, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson threatened local officials who question election results, saying, “We will come for you.” In this video, Benson is dismissive and mocking; one would expect better from those who are part of a government “of the people, by the people, for the people.” But then again, such a tone is more fitting with deception and hiding the truth.
Themidwesterner.news reports, among several other election integrity issues: “While at least seven different courts have determined that election guidance issued by Benson’s office violates Michigan law, there have been no consequences for the secretary of state for misleading county election officials. Those cases have centered on everything from a ban on carrying firearms at polls, to ‘presumed validity’ of absentee voter signatures, to limits on poll challengers.
“More recently, the Michigan Court of Claims found Benson ‘misapplied the law’ when she disqualified independent progressive presidential candidate Cornel West from the Michigan ballot, a move that political observers believe was aimed at protecting Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris.”
Another Federalist article begins with this warning: “After Michigan’s Democrat-led legislature passed sweeping changes to Michigan elections, Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is attempting to implement corresponding potentially ‘illegal’ new rules before the November general election, even though the law isn’t set to go into effect until next year.” Also stating that “There’s no guarantee a legal remedy to this latest example of administrative overreach will come in time for the election.”
Patrick Colbeck is a well-respected truth-teller and God has drawn him into the election integrity realm for such a time as this. In a recent post he states, “Forced county canvasser certification of fraudulent results must be a central component of Democrat path to ‘victory’ in #2024Election…Please note that under current law, county canvassers who refuse to certify a fraudulent election are NOT violating the law. They simply turn over their election records to the state board of canvassers for investigation.
“Anyone attempting to bully canvassers into certifying a fraudulent election should be prosecuted for violation of MCL 168.931b.”
On Patrick’s website www.Letsfixstuff.org, he’s written articles detailing Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson being a “serial lawbreaker” when it comes to elections, “What Happens in MI When County Canvassers Refuse to Certify an Election?”, as well as discussing the troubles with early voting and electronic voting systems. There is a wealth of information on all things election integrity to be mined on his website; he has done the digging for you, get informed.
There is so much more that could/should be covered; what do we do with the information we have? Will we stand up for truth and speak truth or will we allow deception and darkness to rule in our land, blinding others to the light of truth? It doesn’t take a very observant person to see that this darkness and deception has gone beyond the political realm. It’s spread throughout our institutions and has even attacked those who rightfully espouse Biblical truth, specifically as Biblical truth. Whether dealing with gender fluidity or sexual sins, abortion, immigration, medical (COVID, mutilating our youth, etc.), or any other issues that are resulting in a national “death by a thousand cuts,” when we stop shining the light darkness comes flooding in – what happens when you flick your light switch off at home?
What is pushing the Left to such bold and brash deception; why must they win at any cost? Likely, James Howard Kunstler hits the nail on its head: “There is one thing, one lurking terror, behind every fake and desperate move the Democratic Party has made this dire election cycle: the fear that hundreds of high officials might have to pay for their crimes of recent years if they lose on November 5. That’s why they lie about everything…”
Here’s an uncomfortable truth: What moves the Left in darkness and deception is the same motivation that keeps people from standing on and for the truth – selfishness. Yes, such selfishness – on both sides – may manifest itself in various forms, but it’s selfishness nonetheless. Had our forefathers had a spirit of selfishness, they would never have pledged their lives, fortunes, or sacred honor.
Will we remain silent or, like our patriot forefathers, will we demand truth and liberty regardless of consequence? The Apostle Paul and many others who put Christ first selflessly shared the Gospel, thereby proving their love for God and man. Will we share all truth – political and sharing salvation only in Jesus the Christ – regardless the personal consequence? There are many in foreign lands who do so even now. Remember, there are always consequences for speaking truth and there are always consequences for remaining silent.
More than 100 years ago, J.R. Miller warned, “But where there is selfishness, it mars joy. One selfish soul will destroy the sweetness of life in any home. It is like an ugly bush in the midst of a garden of flowers. It was selfishness that destroyed the first home and blighted all the loveliness of Paradise; and it has been blighting lovely things in earth’s home ever since. We need to guard against this spirit.”
