It would appear that people from all across America are concerned about election integrity and, gratefully, that includes congressmen from both sides of the aisle. In a recent Epoch Times article we learn that the Oklahoma Senate has approved legislation that is meant to help county election boards remove illegal aliens from voter registration rolls, in an effort to prevent unlawful voting from taking place. “The bill, which would go into effect on Nov. 1, passed the Senate in a 45–1 vote on Feb. 22, with seven of the Senate’s eight Democrats joining Republicans in supporting the bill.”
Oklahoma Senator Brent Howard, who authored this bill, rightly claims, “Voting is our greatest freedom as U.S. citizens, and we must ensure that our elections are not disrupted by illegal voting.”
Even though there are dozens of Democrat-led states that have attempted to expand voting rights to non-US citizens, there are several other states who are taking steps to ensure that voting is a privilege meant for US citizens only. Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Minnesota, and North Dakota, have approved similar measures as Oklahoma, in a desire to protect their state and this nation.
Other protective measures are being taken by other states as well. The Federalist reported one such example in an article entitled Georgia Committee Passes Bill To Stop Counties From Accepting ‘Zuckbucks 2.0’ Ahead Of 2024 Elections. In it we read, “During the 2020 election, groups like CTCL (Center for Tech and Civic Life) received hundreds of millions of dollars from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. These ‘Zuckbucks’ were poured into local election offices in battleground states around the country to change how elections were administered, such as by expanding unsecure election protocols like mail-in voting and the use of ballot drop boxes. To make matters worse, the grants were heavily skewed towards Democrat-majority counties, essentially making it a massive Democrat get-out-the-vote operation.”
If the United States of America is a nation whose government is “of the people, by the people, and for the people,” then such seditious interferences of any kind, meant to sway or steal elections, must not be tolerated by either side for any reason. When they are allowed in any form, Lincoln’s concluding phrase, “shall not perish from the Earth” is brought to naught. When the will of the people is ignored, coerced, and their vote is not securely counted, the government which was carefully crafted by our founders (for God’s good purposes) and hailed by our sixteenth president has, indeed, already “perished from the Earth.”
Will we idly sit by and witness the blessings of freedom and self-governance be stolen from us, fearful to speak up or take action? Or will we put feet to our prayers, imploring at the sovereign throne of Grace while doing our responsible part? Although our founders were imperfect, our history shows many of them to have been such brave, responsible, and God-seeking men. What will we do with the gift that God gave us by their hand?
Recognizing that election integrity is vital to the health and continuation of these United States, American Decency Association recently had Patrick Colbeck speak about the evidences of election malfeasance and steps we can take to make our elections secure.
