Is there any finer line to walk than that which calls us to a balance of resting in God’s supreme sovereignty and working with all our might, fulfilling our responsibility to be salt and light, promoting holiness and righteousness because of our love for God and our fellowman?

John Hancock, boldest signer of the Declaration of Independence, aptly sums up such a delicate balance, commissioning others to boldly walk that fine line in his day which we must also traverse today. “Resistance to tyranny becomes the Christian and social duty of each individual…Continue steadfast and, with a proper sense of your dependence on God, nobly defend those rights which heaven gave, and no man ought to take from us.”

It is that right call to a “proper sense of our dependence on God” and that sense of duty to “nobly defend those rights which heaven gave” which drove us to plan this unique event. Throughout West Michigan, Trevor Loudon and pastors who are careful and fearful handlers of the Word will explain both the dangers and the hope which are found in our current national/international situation. The infiltration of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) into every institution of American life makes these dangers close and seemingly eminent. Too few are like the sons of Issachar, having an understanding of the times and knowing what to do. We urge you to not only join us at one of the following locations, but to also bring as many people as you possibly can.

Many of you likely remember researcher, author, film maker, and speaker Trevor Loudon from when American Decency has brought him to West Michigan before. He has such skill in connecting the dots between known communist organizations and the surprising outlets which they influence that you won’t want to miss out an any opportunity to hear him at one or more of these events. Trevor’s particular focus currently is on the influence operations of the Chinese Communist Party in American institutions.

To bring Trevor’s reports of the threats against American virtue and prosperity into a Christian perspective, we’re also asking respected local pastors to each bring their unique messages on the importance of the church arising in loving obedience to serve our Lord. All the above is so that God would be glorified and our people might gain a better understanding of what is happening. May God use each of us in humble obedience to the furtherance of His Kingdom and His plan.
