El-Sayed, Michigan’s “Little Mamdani”

In grade school, I had to memorize Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s Paul Revere’s Ride, a poem that depicts his midnight ride to warn American colonists of the approaching British troops. The iconic warning was shouted, “The British are coming!”

There have been several “Paul Reveres” in recent years who have shouted the warning, “The Islamists are coming,” though it has largely fallen on deaf ears under threat of being called an Islamophobe and thinking “they’re not all extremists.” Yet, come they have, changing the face of our communities and infiltrating our political system with the intent of destroying from within the America we so dearly love. Not all Muslims are intent on destroying America, but there are many who would turn her into replicas of the homes they’ve left – it’s called jihad – particularly those who seek local, state, and national political positions.

“The Islamists are coming!” To which Rashida Tlaib replies, “Now we’re in Congress and we’re in every corner of the United States.” After cursing, she defiantly screams, “We ain’t going anywhere!”

In May of this year, The New Arab wrote: “Across the US, Muslims are running in the 2026 midterms at the federal, state and local levels, a change from a decade ago, when it was far less common. Some are running for re-election, while others are aiming to hold office for the first time…

“In the US Congress, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Andre Carson of Indiana, and Lateefah Simon of California are running for re-election and have created something of a path for those coming after them.”

One of those on this “path” is Abdul El-Sayed, running for the US Senate in my home state of Michigan. His main platform is “Medicare for All” and The New Arab reports that “in some polls he leads the Democratic primary, and in all polls, he is in the top three.”

This ultra-progressive candidate, as the New Arab had predicted, won the primary. His full name is Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed, but he doesn’t like his opponents using it. He went after Mike Rogers and other Republicans during a victory speech Wednesday for deliberately using his full name. “They think they want to use my whole name against me. Mike, listen, man, if you can’t say the name — it’s Abdulrahman — keep the name out of your d*** mouth. I’ll be happy to give you lessons.” He has been full of threats against those in his own party and President Trump and his administration.

So, who is this “Little Mamdani” of Egyptian decent who was once a gubernatorial hopeful (2018) and is now vying for a US senate seat? What do we know about this red-green axis candidate who hopes to represent Michigan in making laws which will affect the whole of the United States? As the old adages go, “birds of a feather flock together” and “a picture is worth a thousand words;” the above picture tells us a lot about El-Sayed as he stands between two out-spoken and devout socialists (Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-VT) during the final stop of “The People v. The Powerful” tour at DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids. This picture represents the evolution of progressives, from the old guard (Sanders) to its current state (AOC), with El-Sayed – as AOC proclaimed – “representing the politics of the future” for America. Even the title of his tour – “The People VERSUS The Powerful” focuses on division instead of the unification and healing that Michigan and the United States so desperately needs.

What else do we know about Abdul the socialist-Islamic candidate? He insists he’s a doctor; the reality is “he never earned a license” and his “only hands-on experience treating patients was a sub-internship at a small hospital for four weeks.” (MSN)

In the past he’s called for defunding the police and asked, “Do police really need to use guns? Do we need as much of a police force?” Jordan Domingue, his former chief security officer, states: “I protected this man with a gun for two years, some average of 6-7 days a week, typically 12-16 hour-days. Like so many things with Abdul, it’s pure hypocrisy.” Currently, El-Sayed wants to dismantle Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), calling it “a rogue agency” that “has to be abolished.”

His “Medicaid for All” doesn’t mean it’s an option for those who cannot afford private health insurance; “he believes private health insurance should cease to exist and that the government should run the entire healthcare system.” (MSN) In a related matter, Abdul has “railed against doctors who don’t accept Medicaid, arguing that they ‘discriminate’ against ‘black communities’ and perpetuate ‘long-held deep racism and structural racism.’” Yet, Abdul’s own wife is a private practice psychiatrist who doesn’t accept Medicaid, Medicare, or any other insurance. Although, “Those with pricier private plans can often submit bills to their insurance providers to recoup a portion of out-of-network care, a privilege that is not afforded to Medicare or Medicaid patients.” (WFB)

While crusading for the working class and against the rich, he sports luxury watches worth thousands. He speaks about the importance of transparency, but this US Senate hopeful hadn’t disclosed his tax returns until pressured by an opponent to do so, stating his returns would be “mundane” and people would wonder what the big deal was. However, the reality was far from “mundane.” “Left-wing Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed released two pages of his 2025 tax return showing $686,069 in total income…placing him in the top 1 percent of Michigan earners.” (WFB)

El-Sayed has called our political system a “disease” and President Trump the “worst symptom of the disease” of it. With antisemitism on the rise, do we wonder where El-Sayed’s loyalties lie? “The disease? It’s the system that allows corporations and billionaires and special interests like AIPAC to buy and sell politicians to rig the system against us.” (AIPAC stands for American Israel Public Affairs Committee, an American pro-Israel lobbying group that advocates for policies strengthening the U.S.–Israel relationship.) Yet he doesn’t seem to mind the “disease” when it benefits him. His father-in-law, Jukaku Tayeb, has poured $200,000 into a super PAC supporting his candidacy, making him a top donor. Can you guess who else Jukaku heavily supports? ISNA (Islamic Society of North America Founders Committee) – identified by the federal government as a front group for the terrorist organization Muslim Brotherhood. As a matter of fact, Jukaku also “served as president of CAIR’s Michigan chapter from 2005 to 2010 and remains a board member of the group.” (WFB)

What else do we know about this “little Mamdani”? He declined to comment on the Ayatollah Khamenei’s death (who was responsible for the murder of tens of thousands of Iranians and many middle eastern civilians) because there are “a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad.” He has campaigned with Hasan Piker, a Turkish-American influencer, who said that “America deserved 9/11” and called Israel much worse than Hamas. On June 6, El-Sayed joined Shiite cleric Fadhel Al-Sahlani on stage to celebrate the grand opening of the Islamic Institute of America’s new mosque in Dearborn. One headline read: ‘Hearty Congratulations’: Abdul El-Sayed Hailed Mosque Opening Alongside Holocaust-Denier and Imam Who Asked Allah ‘To Grant Victory to Our Brothers in Iran.’ (WFB)

Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed’s victory in Michigan means that Democrats are embracing the “democratic socialist” brand and all the Islamic ideologies that accompany its candidate.

With communists/socialists hoping to turn the USA into the USSA and Islamists wanting to swallow us up into a modern-day caliphate, we need to take seriously the warnings of those “Paul Reveres” who are in the thick of it. No one gives a warning like watchman on the wall Frank Gaffney: “Each day offers new examples of America’s pell-mell rush to join Western European nations in surrendering to Islam’s stealthy conquest: Democratic primaries across the country are nominating sharia-supremacists or Marxist-jihadists like Zohran Mamdani…Churches that are not mysteriously catching fire are being bought and transformed into mosques. Farms and other properties are turning into Muslim-only communities… Now, Democratic legislators in Massachusetts want to establish a permanent ‘Government Islam Commission’ to promote Muslims for state jobs and otherwise advance their sharia-adherent agenda. Unsurprisingly, such serial accommodations are emboldening the jihadists here, causing them to espouse ever more openly America’s submission to sharia. It’s high time we say ‘No.’ BanSharia.com.”

Speaker Mike Johnson couldn’t be clearer: “This is not a GAME! Everybody needs to understand these crazy little Mamdanis who are popping up all around the country — they are a DANGER to you and your family. This is not a GAME!” When it comes to Michigan’s “little Mamdani” (Abdul El-Sayed), JUST SAY NO!
