Congress Should Not Seat America’s Enemies;” this is a common-sense fact, as well as the title Daniel Greenfield gave to his article on jihad watch. Greenfield opens his article:

The constitutional case for keeping Democratic Socialists of America members out of office.

After the New York and New Jersey Democratic primaries, it now seems likely that the next freshman class of the House will include Dariazila Avila Chevalier, a Muslim convert who co-founded an organization that tweeted “Death to America” and who bragged, “I forgot to get napkins so I just wiped my hand on the American flag” as well as Hisham ‘Adam’ Hamawy: an associate of the Blind Sheikh terrorist leader who testified on his behalf at his terror trial.

From there Greenfield cites historically the fact that the House, in 1919, voted “not to seat Rep. Victor L. Berger, the first socialist congressman, based on Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, ‘No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress’ if they ‘shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.’

Our first two Decency Minutes deal with the rise of communism and Islamism being “a mortal threat to American liberty” and that they are “seeking to undermine America from within.” There is no doubt that American voters must do their part to inform others of the dangers that these candidates – like Abdul El-Sayed – will bring with the authority given them by their election, and to use their vote wisely, voting for pro-American, pro-Constitution, and pro-Biblical values. We have a responsibility to use our voice and our vote. We have a responsibility to pray to the God of Heaven, imploring Him to rule and overrule.

We also have an even greater responsibility to guard our soul, as our third Decency Minute points out. Come what may, we can rest in the fact that God is sovereign and that “There is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.” (Rom. 13:1) We must rest in God’s timing and plan. Kevin Swanson, in his newest book UNDER GOD, writes: “Revolting against God’s rule on the part of civil rulers is treason against the Most High. Their rule is temporary, and these insurgents will be brought down, either sooner or later.

The sovereign kings of the earth issue laws, and then they execute these laws by punishing lawbreakers. Likewise, God has issued His law by special revelation. The King of the universe will also punish lawbreakers who violate His law, including those civil rulers who rebel against it.

May we never forget that Jesus Christ IS King and that God is in TOTAL control.

Sometimes a picture will put things in perspective; take the photo at the top of this article, for example. Though it could represent several things, let’s look at just one: As we see the flag (representing our government and those who sit in authority) standing in the shadow of the steeple (representing Almighty God), we are reminded that there is no higher power than God, all must eventually submit and give account for what they have done in the flesh, including what they’ve done with the power on loan to them by the Most High. (Government officials, pastors, parents, teachers, etc.)

This is not only a reminder to government officials; it is a reminder for us to keep everything in perspective. What we see with our physical eyes is not always the prevailing truth. Trust in the Lord and walk faithfully, regardless of what the physical outcome may seem to be. We are doing our part temporally and we are living for eternity.

For some, a word picture is most helpful; let me close with this:

There was once a Sunday school teacher who asked her group of children if any of them could quote the entire twenty-third psalm. A golden-haired, 4 1/2-year-old girl was among those who raised their hands. A bit skeptical, the teacher asked if she could really quote the entire psalm. The little girl came to the rostrum, faced the class, made a perky little bow, and said: “The Lord is my shepherd, that’s all I want.” She then bowed again and sat down. She may have overlooked a few verses, but that little girl captured David’s heart in Psalm 23. Might we be so blessed as to capture David’s heart, here, in our own hearts.

The Threat of Communism

“There is now a resurgence of the communist menace in our land, including from newcomers to our country who embrace ideas totally opposed to our way of life and our great successCommunism is a mortal threat to American liberty,” President Trump recently said this, referring to the rise of Democratic Socialist backed candidates such as NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani, Michigan senate candidate Abdul Al Sayed, and the LA mayoral frontrunner Nithya Raman.

Democrats get awfully defensive about that Communist label. It’s just a “scare word,” said Obama’s Labor Secretary Robert Reich. It doesn’t even exist anymore, says columnist Michael Tomasky, before describing how young people tend to not see communism “as such a bad thing.”

But Democrat Socialists share the same ideological roots, members, and funders as blatant Communist organizations.

America must again face down the communist threat; this time let’s do it for good.

The Michigan Mamdani

Increasingly, those with allegiance to foreign nations and anti-American ideologies are being elected to positions in government.  And now Michigan is at risk of electing Abdul El-Sayed – the “Michigan Mamdani” – to the U.S. Senate.

El-Sayed is a radical leftist whose sympathies lie not with the American people, but with terrorist sympathizers.   His messaging is filled with Islamic propaganda and socialist ideology.

Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood – and all who support them here in the U.S. – are enemies of the United States, yet El-Sayed has defended each one.

There is a Fifth Column in our nation, seeking to undermine America from within.

Many well-meaning people don’t understand that we could easily lose our country. However, it’s we the people who are responsible for the character of the Congress.

Michigan voters need to be aware of what’s at stake and get out the vote!

Think about your soul

We live in a world of overwhelming cares and anxieties. An excessive focus on health and exercise, political or economic concerns, family issues, sustenance, and clothing occupy the minds of many. What of Jesus’ questions: “Isn’t there more to life than food and clothing?” “Even if you gain the whole world, what good is it if you lose your soul?”

J.C. Ryle urges: “I can well believe you are sometimes tempted to think that the world is everything, and the body is all that is worth caring for. But resist the temptation and cast it behind you. Say to yourself every morning when you rise and every night when you lie down, ‘This world is passing away. The life that I now live is not all. There is something besides business and money and pleasure and commerce and trade. There is a life to come!’
