A big thank you from American Decency Association to all who helped us finish the year off strong with donations, notes of encouragement, and prayers. We appreciate you joining with us to help us continue the work in 2025 – ALL to the GLORY OF GOD!
Another January 6th has come and almost gone since political prisoners were rounded up after the Trump rally four years ago. This has truly been a travesty of justice and we can only hope that when Donald J. Trump once again takes over the reins of President of the United States of America, he begins issuing pardons to those who have been unjustly imprisoned, their lives put on hold for no good reason except they “backed the wrong horse.” The Left and its media voices like to throw the word “insurrection” around but keep in mind that none of those J6ers who have been prosecuted have been charged and convicted of an insurrection. Most of them have been found guilty of misdemeanor trespass, some of damaging property.
If President Trump pardons those J6ers as he has said he will, is it enough? Keep in mind that if the rights, freedoms, and rule of law of one of our fellow citizens can be violated without consequence, then none of us are safe from those who would disregard and abuse our national rule of law: The Constitution of the United States of America. None of us can feel assured of our freedom while our fellowman has been unjustly held prisoner for nearly four years.
There are some in Congress, as well as others, who say that America is not about revenge; we shouldn’t pursue the truth and prosecute those who were the actual perpetuators of wrong. Reader, it is not a matter of revenge, which is the act of getting back at another for what they have done to you; it is a matter of JUSTICE! It’s a matter of righteousness prevailing; without justice there is no liberty for all. Without justice there is no hindrance to evil or any assurance that such evils will stop.
Some say, “Let bygones be bygones.” If there is no justice enacted against those who have been holding our country hostage since President Trump’s first term of office and who’ve held these J6ers as political prisoners, then our country will be “gone by.” A two-tiered justice system is no system of justice and the laws of the land which frame our freedoms aren’t worth the blessed parchment they were written on. As Carl Sandburg warned, “When a nation goes down, or a society perishes, one condition may always be found; they forgot where they came from. They lost sight of what had brought them along.” The violations from domestic sources that have been perpetuated against Americans, our Constitution, and decency over the years, and the fact that We the People have done precious little to stop these violations and bring their perpetuators to justice, shows that we have been on a course of forgetting where we came from and the importance of standing on our founding rather than allowing others to change the truth of it. Let us pray for and demand justice from those who “hold the sword!”
What about all the J6 videos and files that haven’t been released yet, they may hold answers to troubling questions which We the People have a right to and a need to know. May these files be released, may truth be found, and may justice be served.
Those who belong to the Body of Christ, the church, must never forget that our beginnings come from a pardon. It was by God’s grace through the atonement of Jesus Christ and His work on the cross of Calvary. We were born in sin, but God!
“Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” (Eph. 2:3-6)
Let those who believe pray for justice temporally, that the guilty might be drawn to the grace of God, humbling themselves, and receiving eternal salvation. Better to find justice here and mercy in eternity than to escape justice here and slide into eternal damnation. Though one does not guarantee the other, the hinge of pride often swings according to the doors of justice and grace.
