The American Decency Association has spent the last four decades educating, stirring, warning, and using various forms of activism – urging people to stand for what is true and right. Such stands can be viewed by many as solely standing against that which is deceptive and wrong – actually, that’s just the other side of the coin. Admittedly, there are those who stand against that which is wrong without pointing to that which is right. But we have done our best to stand for Biblical values, for the Constitution which guarantees our right to those values, and for the God who has blessed us with the Bible and America’s Constitution.
Attacks come from within and without, we’ve diligently been observant to both and done our best to warn, educate, and urge our readers to appropriate activism. We strive for a balanced view, with the Bible always being our foundation and our fulcrum.
We’re grateful to the Lord for having led us and for His continuing leading hand. One can read part of that guidance in the first Decency Minute script below, narrated by Bill Johnson. In the second Decency Minute, one is called to a form of activism; I urge you to respond accordingly. In our final script, we point out that which is good, but recognize that there is still more to be done – a balanced approach showing both truth and grace.
It’s our prayer that the Lord will continue to keep us humble, hungry for truth, and honest with grace. There are fewer gray areas than the world – and much of the church of today – would have us think. By God’s grace may we fully believe that “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” By His strengthening grace may “we walk in the light, as he is in the light, [having] fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 Jn. 1:5, 7)
Introducing: Finally, a Decent Podcast
We at American Decency in Fremont will be unleashing a weekly podcast that we are naming Finally, A Decent Podcast.
But, why the name Finally, A Decent Podcast? Well, a casual look at our website at https://americandecency.org will reveal to you that we focus on a lot of issues that are primarily black and white issues! Like, over the years, indecency at the checkout counters, working closely with prosecutors to enforce the law against obscenity, encouraging people to “place no wicked thing before their eyes.” Picketing sex shops like Deja Vu in various cities throughout Michigan.
I’m trying to make a point. There is a Biblical standard; a standard that includes being not conformed to this world but being transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable will of God.
Michigan High School Athletic Association Refuses to Protect Our Daughters
In February, President Trump signed an executive order banning males from competing in female sports. Schools which refuse to comply will lose federal funding. However, numerous public schools and universities are refusing to comply.
The Michigan High School Athletic Association – known as MHSAA – is also thumbing its nose at the executive order, even though 78% of Michiganders want boys out of girls’ sports. Obviously, MHSAA is willing to sacrifice girls’ safety on the field; vulnerability in the locker room; and athletic aspirations in order to promote a radical ideology that the vast majority oppose.
Notably, the NCAA was quick to change its policy, but the MHSAA has refused to do so. Call the Michigan High School Athletic Association and urge them to comply with the president’s order and protect Michigan girls. Call 517-332-5046.
Being Pro-Child is not the Same as Being Pro-Life
When we see photos circulating of Vice President Vance carrying his kids up the airplane steps or Elon Musk’s son romping around the feet of the president, these aren’t coincidental moments. As Vance highlighted during the 2024 presidential campaign, this administration sees the declining birth rate as an existential threat for the United States.
We, as a nation, need the reminder that children are a blessing. Family is one of the greatest sources of joy in life. Trump has talked about the pride his own children and grandchildren have brought him as well.
Trump’s pro-child reputation continues to build as his administration announced last week their intention of blocking $20 million of funding for Planned Parenthood. Praise God!
Unfortunately, pro-child doesn’t equal pro-life, thanks to modern bio-technology.
Pray that Trump reverses his support for In Vitro Fertilization which ends the lives of countless human embryos whose right to life goes unrecognized.
Recognizing that the threats to America come from within and without, let these two quotes stir your mind to further reflection and study.

Unless one has eyes to objectively see where one truly stands and humbly sees history as a warning, we are often doomed to repeat it. I praise the Lord that President Trump is working on those above issues. Let’s pray that the judicial and legislative branches would join his efforts before we meet the same end as Rome.
