The Olympics: Where Assault Becomes a Spectator Sport

By: Lisa Van Houten

In the real world, if a man punches a woman in the face, it’s an assault.  But in this insane world which transgender ideology has created, it’s now considered a spectator sport.  At least it is at the Olympics where an Italian female boxer was hit so hard in the face by a male boxer, that she was forced to forfeit the match after only 46 seconds in the ring, or risk losing her life.  The fight was between Italy’s Angela Carini and her male Algerian opponent, Imane Khelif.

Khelif’s first punch was so hard it dislodged Angela’s headgear.  The second punch smashed Angela in the face, splattering blood on her clothes, reportedly breaking her nose, and as Angela said, was so hard she “couldn’t breathe.”  After the bout, Angela said she had never felt such powerful blows, adding: “I’m used to suffering. I’ve never taken a punch like that, it’s impossible to continue.”  When Angela forfeited and Khelif was declared the winner, Angela fell to her knees in the ring in tears, sobbing: “None giusto!”  Translation: It’s not fair!

And it isn’t fair.  This 25-year-old woman has trained and worked for years and years to reach the elite status of competing at the Olympic games, only to have her dreams and goals literally sucker punched by a biological man and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which allowed this travesty to take place.

The male boxer, Imane Khelif, was disqualified by the International Boxing Association Women’s World Boxing Championships for failing a testosterone test to establish gender qualifications, but that doesn’t matter to the IOC.  The Olympics are still allowing him (and another male boxer) to compete as “women,” bowing to the transgender cult that is undermining women’s sports from the high school level all the way up to, what used to be the pinnacle of sporting, the Olympic games.

“The whole world is playing a gigantic game of ‘pretend.’ All of these Olympic officials, sports bodies, and governments are pretending that men are women because saying anything contrary to that brings down the wrath of the transgender lobby.

“Khelif is not a woman. He’s not a woman biologically, medically, or in any other way that would allow him to compete as a woman. The whole world has gone insane,” writes Rick Moran of PJ  Media.

This picture shows Khelif on the left (in red) and Angela on the right.  It’s more than obvious that Khelif is a man, with all the biological advantages men have in muscle mass, height, and strength.

It’s somehow apropos that this beatdown of a female athlete by a male boxer happened on the same day that the Biden-Harris administration’s overthrow of Title IX goes into effect.  Title IX is the 1972 law which ensured equal opportunity for girls’ sports and education opportunities in schools and colleges.

However, the Biden-Harris administration has turned Title IX on its head, stripping away these protections from girls by redefining the term “sex” to include “gender identity.”  Now schools, from kindergarten on up, will be forced to allow boys and men in girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms – putting not only their modesty, but their very safety at risk.  Every overnight school activity or college dorm will have to allow boys to sleep in spaces designated for girls. Every girls’ sports team will have to let boys participate – stealing awards and scholarships, and putting girls at greater risk for injury – as the world just saw in the Paris Olympics.

Ironically, this abuse of women, sanctioned by the U.S. government, will continue if Kamala Harris becomes the first female U.S. president.

However, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni – also a woman – has far more sense.  Meloni lambasted the IOC’s decision to allow Khelif to compete, stating it “was not a competition on equal terms.”

“I do not agree with the IOC’s choice, I have not for years,” Meloni said.  “When in 2021 the IOC changed the regulation on this matter we presented a motion to point out the consequences that this could have. It is a fact that with the levels of testosterone present in the blood of the Algerian athlete the race at the start does not seem fair. … I think that athletes who have male genetic characteristics should not be admitted to women’s competitions and not to discriminate against anyone but to protect the right of athletes to be able to compete on equal terms.”

Meloni added: “I thank Angela Carini for how she fought. … I was emotional yesterday when she (Angela) wrote, ‘I will fight’ because in these things dedication, head and character also count, but it also counts to compete on equal terms.”

As our world continues to deny our Creator and His created order of male and female, not only will there be countless ones who have their dreams crushed like Angela’s; have their bodies mutilated in pursuit of a new “identity;” or, even far more importantly, are led down a path to reject the only crown that counts – the one given by our Lord to those He has redeemed.
