Kamal Saleem: Terrorist turned Christian. Many of you will remember the first time you heard his name and ultimately came to hear him speak at one of many locations throughout Michigan.
There were many that were naysayers. Dubious. Some perhaps even thought that he was coming as a tool of Satan and/or a tool to subtly bring Shariah to West Michigan if not interfaith dialogue.
Did I have questions? I had read his powerful testimony in his book: The Blood of the Lambs. I had heard him speak in Washington DC at the Values Voter Summit. I also knew that he had been overwhelmingly endorsed by the former war hero and one of America’s most decorated military officers: General Jerry Boykin (retired).
Still there were efforts to undermine him and degrade his name, including the Grand Rapids Press, which was attempting to do an interview with me days before he came for the first time – trying to put a seed of doubt in my mind and also into the minds of their readership.
We haven’t seen Kamal for years now. The fear factor surrounding Islamic Terrorism, the Muslim Brotherhood, Shariah, Interfaith Dialogue has died down since those days, though it has only been four years since Phil Haney, one of America’s most effective and brave whistleblowers regarding the Muslim Brotherhood, has been gone from this nation that he loved so much.
But the issues of the day have shifted so resoundingly from Shariah and the Muslim Brotherhood to – you fill in the blank – __________ ____________ etc., etc. etc.
The last time we had Kamal here was in 2019. We brought Kamal into Michigan and scheduled him to speak in nearly 20 locations over the course of a month from western Michigan to the Saginaw area and in several locations in the greater Detroit area, including Brighton and Holly.
His mission was speaking on how to share the Gospel with Muslims. As always, he was so very well received. I have often said that Kamal is one of the sweetest, kindest, godliest people that I know. His love for Jesus radiates. He has never forgotten how Jesus saved him and radically changed him.
Join with me in praying for Kamal and his time with us. Here are some of the questions that I will ask him to address.
* Please share your testimony once again.
* Is Islam still on the move in America?
* If so what are the evidences of it?
* In the past, you always believed that the American church was going to rise up and that we would see a great revival. Do you still believe that? If so what are evidences of that?
*Years ago, when you spoke at Calvin College (it wasn’t a university yet) there was a professor who organized a protest of you there in Grand Rapids. What was the reason for that?
* What do you see happening in America today? Are you still so hopeful?
* Give us counsel, as your Christian brothers and sisters, as to what things should we be doing to prepare for the spiritual warfare that is rising up before us?
We hope you can join us! Seating is limited, please RSVP by calling Kimberly at 231-924-4050 or email kimberly@americandecency.org.
