Are you ready?

Most Americans, even well-informed ones, give little thought to the potential of war hitting our great country. My intention isn’t to cause alarm, but rather to point out some of the stark realities in order to become aware and be reasonably prepared while resting in the Lord.

Present Danger: China

That being said, let’s look at one of our most imminent enemies and a few of the ways they’ve been preparing for a kinetic conflict within our nation. China has been laying the groundwork within America for many years, convincing the public that they are our friends and have much to offer. In doing so, they’re now receiving help, directly or indirectly, from government insiders, investors, and a growing pro-communist faction found throughout our institutions and society.

This growing acceptance of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) ways has come not only by way of infiltrating our educational institutions, but also through controlling various social media, film, and video game venues. In a battle for their minds, an increasing number of youths are being groomed to receive, accept, and embrace communist tenets. Many young and old alike are unaware of the impact and history of all communist/socialist regimes: Death – sometimes slow, like starvation, due to its policies, other times quickly, like the mass slaughter of those who disagree. Most don’t understand that we are living in the “comfortable” switchover; they are willfully blind, refusing to see the destination of this path we are being coaxed down.

Speak the truth, warning our children and others of the historical dangers that communism/socialism brings. Point to our nation’s Christian founding, describing the blessings of liberty and the prosperity it brings, while also being honest about our own national shortcomings. A good contemporary example to use is Venezuela.

The CCP has long been sowing discord within our nation. Captain James Fanell – U.S. Navy (Ret.), Former Director of Intelligence and Information Operations – shares that TikTok comes from the CCP and is being used “to provide corrosive influences to the thinking of our citizens and our young people.”

There’s been a CCP invasion at our southern border. Gordon Chang from Gatestone Institute shares some alarming information: Two years ago, most Chinese migrants came across our border as families to live in a free society. Now, Chinese migrants are:

* 80% – 85% are military age men

* Traveling without family members

* Traveling in packs of 5-15

* Some have links to the Chinese military

* Some cross without money, without documentation, but after being here less than three weeks are target practicing with pistols – in one case, with a sniper rifle.

Where did these weapons came from? What are these military-aged Chinese men target practicing for?

Look at this within the context of the secret Chinese biological weapons facility found in Reedley, California: It contained a minimum of 20 pathogens and, according to Mr. Chang, almost 1,000 genetically engineered mice ready to spread disease.

Why are numbers of Chinese trying to get into our military bases two to three times a week? Many believe it’s for reconnaissance.

I’m not trying to be an alarmist, but Gordon Chang warns that we should be on HIGH ALERT!

Why would Xi want to attack America?

In a radio interview with Frank Gaffney on 7-17-24, Gordon Chang shared some reasons the Chinese people are not happy and how Xi, due to his power grab within the CCP, is now accountable for:

* A quickly failing economy with no available solutions

* Failing local governments

* Worsening food shortages

* Deteriorating environment

Xi needs to show himself strong and he isn’t deterred by the U.S. or others right now. He’s “impelled by domestic incentives, not reacting to foreign deterrents.”

Among other signs of preparing for war, the CCP has been stockpiling grains and other commodities.

What should we do?

Brian Kennedy, Chairman for Committee on the Present Danger, gives these sage words of counsel, regardless of which enemy may attack America:

“This is a job for every American citizen. Don’t look to your police department; don’t look to the US government or the National Guard or the Army. No one’s coming to your aid here. Be resilient yourself. Make sure you can provide for you and your family. Do you have enough food and water? Are you armed? Can you protect your family? Unfortunately, we’re living in times today where the potential for civil unrest has never been greater. The potential for an enemy on our soil to attack America has never been greater. Each American now has to be concerned with that. Which means you, as an American, have to be very difficult to kill and to enslave. And that sounds like a lot of tough talk at one level and another, it’s just simply being realistic.”

Let me add: there’s a definite reality each of us must face whether war comes to our native land or not. We may be a casualty of war, disease, accident, or we may die peacefully in our sleep, yet, we must be ready to face Jesus. Paul warns in 2 Corinthians 5:10 that each of us will appear before the judgment seat of Christ to receive our reward – whether good or bad. I urge you, be ready to meet the Lord. Share with others the truth of God’s grace, Christ’s atoning work on the cross, the transforming work that comes with the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and our Lord’s sure return.
