NOTICE: Protest for Life

 Though not sponsored by American Decency, we invite you to join other protestors who want to stand for life outside your local Walgreens, CVS, or Rite Aid pharmacy this Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 10 am EST – noon EST. What is this protest for?  Individuals, who are concerned that these pharmacies are turning into abortion businesses by stating they will dispense the controversial abortion pill recently approved by the Biden administration, are gathering peacefully to let their voices be heard on behalf of those pre-born children who cannot be heard. What a busy world we live in! Let me urge you to read these three Decency Minute scripts or listen to them, and others, here. As always, these are meant to be a source of education and encouragement. Take a minute – a Decency Minute – to read, share, and pray.

Transitioning Transfusions

We live in a culture that is in open rebellion to God and His Word.  And as those around us thumb their nose at the guardrails God has set, there will be consequences both individually and nationally.

One of the latest examples comes from the FDA which is willing to put the safety of Americans at risk to appease the LGBT cult.  The FDA is now allowing gay men to donate blood – a reversal on the ban of such donations due to the high risk of HIV among homosexuals.  In addition, the Red Cross also allows those who claim to be transgender, and who take dangerous cross-sex hormones, to donate blood. The FDA and the Red Cross would rather put America’s blood supply at risk, than risk offending the LGBT.

There is collateral damage to sin – and in this case it’s America’s blood supply.

Parents BEWARE!

A few weeks ago, we told you about American Girl Doll going woke. Their recent book tells girls, “Gender identity is how you feel on the inside.”

In our free monthly newsletter – you can sign up at AmericanDecency.org and let us know– we talked about the changes made to Hasbro’s board game Life, which eliminates the traditional family structure.

The latest entertainment company to push radical gender ideology is The Sims: a life simulation video game, where you create a character, build a house, get a job, form relationships, and perform everyday activities through your character.

Only now, your character – or Sim – can do these activities arrayed in the top surgery scars of a transgender woman whose had her breasts removed, or if your character isn’t ready for that, you can deck her out in chest bindings that make her appear more masculine.

This harmful ideology is EVERYWHERE. Parents cannot afford to not be vigilant.

Remedy for Fear

With the ever-changing culture mentioned above and the unstable political and economic landscape before us, David gives us a good reminder from Psalm 23. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

The Shepherd kept his watchful eye upon the flock, and not from a distance, but in the midst of the sheep! Just as the shepherd would never leave the sheep in peril, David knew that the Lord, his Shepherd, wouldn’t leave him! Even when death or danger might cast its shadow, David proclaimed, “I will fear no evil, for thou art with me!” The thought of the rod, which the sheep would pass under and be counted as one of the fold, and the staff that drove back the perilous beasts, brought great comfort to David! May it also comfort us to know that we’ve been counted as one of the Lord’s flock and that HE IS WITH US!
