Encouragement for McCarthy’s Conservative Appointments

The other day, as I was walking the track at my gym, I looked up at one of screens and saw a split view of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and the new House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. Then I looked to see what channel the TV was set to: MSNBC. Do you know what? It really warmed my heart, because I knew exactly what they were saying even though I couldn’t hear the audio.

They were complaining about how a “right-wing-extremist” like Greene now had access to the Speaker and carried new sway in the new Republican Congress.

In spite of an ugly battle for the speakership, with an outcome other than I would have preferred, it seems as if a few of the real conservatives- the ones who scare the talking heads on MSNBC, are coming into positions where they may be able to have a real effect on congressional action: the Rules Committee, the Judicial Committee, and the Oversight and Reform Committee, to name a few.

Even so, as we wrote Tuesday, there are concerning signs of Republicans continuing the “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion” goals that Democrats had instituted in these committees. While DEI sounds nice enough, what it boils down to is anti-family, anti-individual liberty Marxism. We can only hope Republican leadership can see past the façade!

Especially following the controversy surrounding who would claim the speakership, centered around how far right the House Majority would position itself, McCarthy and Republican leadership need to know that the American people support the direction the House seems to be poised to take. No more Republicans in Name Only, no more Uniparty, no more DEI.

Lead for change, REAL change and REAL justice.

It is important to stand with Speaker McCarthy and show him support for these important committee assignments.

Thank you very much for assigning strong outspoken conservative Republicans to the US House Committee on Oversight and removing some far left and security risk Democrats.   It is encouraging to know that there will be numerous strong headed conservatives on the committee to challenge and investigate the Biden administration.   You should wear the double standard criticism from leftists for your assignments as a badge of true honor.
