2 in 2 for 7-7-23

Our regular readers may think this a strange title because they’re used to a Friday 3 in 3. This week we only have two decency minutes to share, but we trust that you will read the scripts, listen to ADA’s founder and president Bill Johnson’s recording of them (click on the title’s link), and then share them far and wide through your email and social media platforms. We really do appreciate your help in spreading the news and the need for prayer! The Lord is our only hope, and in prompting His people to pray, He works through the prayers of His people. What an awesome God we serve!

 A Social Media Equation

According to a report put out by Snap Inc, 65% of teenagers globally have been the targets of “catfishing” schemes across popular social media platforms by criminals seeking to pressure victims into sexual activity or to extort money.

Add to that these US Surgeon General statements:

Up to 95% of teens, aged 13-17, report using a social media platform. Nearly two-thirds of teenagers report using social media every day and one third report using social media “almost constantly.”

Now add the numerous articles which link social media usage to poor self-image among teens.

The sum of these facts equals trouble for many teens who get caught in the murky side of the web, many seeing no way of escape.

The solution is pointing to Jesus; tough, unconditional, parental love; and limiting social media exposure. Parents, ask tough, searching questions and build your family relationships on the Lord.

 

Patriotic Precipice

On July 4, 1802 Daniel Webster proclaimed, “We live under the only government that ever existed which was framed by…deliberate consultations of the people. Miracles do not cluster. That which has happened but once in 6,000 years cannot be expected to happen often. Such a government, once gone, might leave a void, to be filled, for ages, with revolution and tumult, riot and despotism.”

221 years later, we stand on the precipice of this void described by Daniel Webster. Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, George Soros and other globalists, not to mention would-be world dictators like Xi Jinping, have plans for America’s demise because she has stood in the way. Such men would love to fill this country AND THIS WORLD with “revolution and tumult, riot and despotism.” Then liberty would be lost around the globe and Christian persecution would increase drastically.

Put on God’s armor, speak truth, and pray.
