THIS WEDNESDAY: Hear a Leading Voice on LGBTQ Issues in the Church

By: Kimberly Cargill

Michael Perkins, producer of American Family Studios’ Biblically and scientifically sound documentary In His Image, will be in Fremont this Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the American Decency building (203 E. Main Street, Fremont, MI) at 12 PM.  Don’t miss out on our year-end event where Michael will be speaking on the vastly important topic – LGBT Activists In the Church. We’ll provide a free luncheon as we fellowship with Michael, to be followed by his presentation; please RSVP by calling 231-924-4050, email kimberly@americandecency.org to help us plan for this free luncheon.

Spiritual warfare abounds on every side; arguably, Satan’s fiercest battle in recent years rages against those caught up in the LGBTQ+ lifestyle. Using this issue and his pawns to also attack the nation and God’s Church, the devil has deceived not only those bound by the LGBTQ lifestyle but well-meaning Christians as well, who desire to show compassion and love. Although the response of compassion and love is correct, many have been misguided by activists and leftists who would hijack and change Biblical definitions (like compassion and love) to further their agenda. The church must be guided by the Bible, remembering the words of that master of spiritual warfare, Puritan William Gurnall, “God’s wounds cure, sin’s kisses kill.

With such activists in the church, we have been witnessing a silence, and in some cases a compliance, in the pulpit. What is needed is bold men of righteousness filled with the compassion and love of the Holy Spirit to stand for truth out of love for God and men. As Gurnall rightly said, “A minister, without boldness, is like a smooth file, a knife without an edge, a sentinel that is afraid to let off his gun. If men will be bold in sin, ministers must be bold to reprove.

It’s easy to “cast stones” at those who are timid regarding such topics in the pulpit; but, what of us? How often do we fail to speak when confronted by the lies and deception of the devil, who has our friends and family bound in his web of deceit? Could it be that “We fear men so much, because we fear God so little.” (Gurnall) May it not be so; but after reflection, if that is the case, let us quickly turn to God with a sorrowful heart in repentance. Let us pray to be emboldened by God’s Spirit with true love for Him and others, that we might be about the business of real spiritual warfare within and without.

We are grateful to God that Michael will be joining us this Wednesday, December 7 at noon. We consider ourselves blessed that God connected this bold truth-teller with our organization. He is always well-researched, having the facts in hand; and his presentations are always wrapped in the wisdom of God’s Word, something that is so desperately needed today.

This is our last event for 2022 (unless the Lord surprises us), we urge you to be a part of it. Come and learn, be encouraged in the faith, and go out with boldness for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (To help us plan for the luncheon, please RSVP at 231-924-4050.)
