ZOOM in-You’ll Be Glad You Did!

By: Steve Huston

You’re about to read of an upcoming and exciting event; but first, I’d like to share with you the heart of us here at the American Decency. With the rise of COVID-19 in America, it has left many feeling wary, confused, or anxious. We are so thankful for you, our supporters, whether that support takes the form of financial strengthening, prayer, notes of encouragement, or simply reading the articles we write or attending the events we sponsor. We care about and are praying for you and your families. We, like you, are concerned for America and are praying for its awakening, repentance, revival, and renewal. We urge you to share the truth about Jesus Christ with those who are seeking answers and those who are understandably distracted by this time of perceived crisis.

Please take a minute to be encouraged by the first few verses of Psalm 91; take comfort from God’s Word to His children:

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.” (Psalms 91:1-6)

Just because we have been asked to practice social distancing and to take precautions against spreading the COVID-19 virus doesn’t mean that we can’t meet, discuss, learn, and be encouraged by one another.  Some of you may be wondering, “How is that even possible?”

The answer:ZOOM! Zoom is an online meeting place that’s easy to use; it’s a great way to live stream with multiple homes. Zoom allows you to attend meetings, personal chats, and events, hold Bible studies, or pray together.  Since Governor Whitmer has put the state on lockdown, our staff has been holding our morning meetings from home through zoom. If you don’t have a Zoom account yet, please sign up for free. Click here for a YouTube link showing how to use the app and how to sign up.

We are inviting you to ZOOM in and join us at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 2, 2020.

Curtis Bowers, producer of the extremely well documented AGENDA: Grinding America Down and AGENDA 2: Masters of Deceit films will be joining us via zoom; and you won’t want to miss out on his presentation, discussion, and question/answer period.

Some of the topics this zoom event will cover:

Curtis’ movies: They are more relevant today than ever before; the warnings still apply. So we will be discussing some of the following aspects:

  1. Why did you make these two documentary films?
  2. Was it difficult to find the information?
  3. What tips would you have for those who are interested in finding and following these and similar trails?
  4. Now that time has passed, would you consider your films prophetic?
  5. Where are we now? Where are we going? Where is the Lord in all of this?

Curtis’ Podcast:

Curtis has recently started producing a podcast that is informative, thought-provoking, and challenging. His first episode was on Chick-fil-A. It was a terrific podcast that was spot on and we’ll be asking him to speak to that issue as well.

Don’t miss out on an opportunity to learn some new technology (zoom); learn from a godly man about doing the right thing simply because it’s the right thing to do; and to be encouraged while also being an encouragement to others.

ZOOM in and join us on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 1:00 PM!Space is limited to the first 100 participants so email kimberly@americandecency.org to let us know you are interested.  We will need to send you a link so that you can join this zoom conference.
