What Now?

Yesterday we urged the President to not sign the immigration bill.  As you likely know by now, President Trump did sign the bill then immediately declared a national emergency at the United States’ Southern border. 

My heart is heavy over this decision as the immigration bill will prove a disaster for our embattled America.  There have already been individuals who have addressed the massive concerns regarding this new law.

Daniel Horowitz is a highly regarded conservative and oft interviewed by Frank Gaffney and Sandy Rios and is affiliated at Conservative Review with Mark Levin. Before the bill was passed, he explained why, in his estimation, the president should veto it.

He closes his article with these words of warning:  “…this bill will likely override Trump’s executive powers because of the sneaky limitations on wall construction.  This is the sort of omnibus bill that ensnared former President Ronald Reagan in Iran-Contra. 

“Signing this bill will undermine his case for an emergency at the border both legally and politically.

“If Trump signs this bill instead of vetoing it and firing the people in the White House promoting it, he deserves to lose re-election.”

But, he has signed it!

I believe that our great nation has been at a crossroads for some time now and I fear that history will not look favorably upon this day.

Please join me in praying for our President and that God would rule and overrule once again.  We are deserving of God’s wrath and perhaps after decades of mercy and favor, He has taken His hand of protection off from us. 

May God give us a heart of repentance – that we might call on His Holy name and He would save us from our own foolishness.
