The Battle for Our Children

By: American Decency Staff

Israel Wayne was a real blessing to the American Decency Association and all who attended our event, The Battle for Our Children, on August 23-24. It’s particularly a spiritual battle that’s leaving carnage across an ecclesiastical wasteland; it takes no prisoners—it only leaves victims.

Israel’s presentation was eye-opening, alarming, and a call to full-time consistent, Christian parenting. If you weren’t able to attend you don’t want to miss out on this information; if you were there, then you already know you want to get the DVD to share with someone you care about. To order this informative DVD today call Kimberly at 231-924-4050 or email kimberly@americandecency.org.

There were many startling and troubling statistics presented that dealt with church, school, and students. Israel covered public schools, Christian schools, homeschoolers, Sunday school, and even spoke, albeit to a smaller degree, into higher education. The outlook is bleak unless parents get involved and stay involved.

Education isn’t even the main thrust; each student is a soul that is bound for an eternal destination. Where will your student end up, heaven or hell? There is no third destination. There should be nothing more important to us than doing all we can to assure that our children make it into heaven; and although there are no cookie-cutter guarantees, there are dangers we should avoid and steps we can take to do our part in helping them to gain an eternal victory.

Answer “yes” or “no” these questions regarding a Biblical Worldview:

  1. Absolute moral truths exist.
  2. Moral truth is defined by God in the Bible
  3. The Bible is totally accurate in all of the principles that it teaches.
  4. Jesus Christ lived a sinless life during his ministry on earth.
  5. God created the universe and continues to rule it today. He is omnipotent and omniscient.
  6. Salvation is a gift from God. It cannot be earned through good works or behavior.
  7. Satan is a real living entity.
  8. Christians have an obligation to share the Gospel with the unsaved.

Are you interested in how pastors and various other segments of the population answered these questions? Then get your DVD today; call Kimberly at 231-924-4050 or email kimberly@americandecency.org. Or you can watch this presentation on the web at www.americandecency.org (this won’t be available until the end of next week).

Who influences your children the most? Recognizing that the two biggest influences on our children’s lives come from whoever they spend the most time with and whoever gives them the most affirmation, comprehensive positive parental involvement is vital to passing on our values and Christian experience to them. The school and the world that our children face today are NOT the same as what we grew up with. So much has changed even in the last five to ten years.

Good Advice:You’ll want to follow the lead of an attendee who left saying that she was going to order several copies of this presentation to give to her adult children and friends. And why not? The battle for your children/grandchildren is a very real battle on many fronts. The dangers are real; this is a battle of spiritual proportions!

Praise God that He is sovereign and merciful, full of compassion.
