Renew Your Family

By: American Decency Staff

Whether speaking on education, Christian living and spiritual disciplines, apologetics, emotions (like anger), parenting, the importance of affirmation, and any number of other topics, Israel Wayne draws from the well of Scripture to refresh and renew or to teach and exhort the listener. In so doing, he passes on wisdom that can assist many families in drawing closer to God and to family success. Family Renewal is the name of his ministry and that’s his aim and goal, teaching others to defend the Christian faith and develop a Biblical worldview, to renew and strengthen family relationships, and to bring glory and honor to our heavenly Father.

Let me list two of several things that make Israel a gifted speaker. For one, he often draws from personal experience and is honest about his own shortcomings. He doesn’t approach things as having already arrived and having all the answers; but rather, humbly, “as one hungry beggar showing another hungry beggar where to find food.”

Secondly, he has a working knowledge of history and shares the stories of spiritual men and the Biblical actions they have taken that brought them to success.

The American Decency Association is blessed to be able to bring this truth teller to two separate events in West Michigan.  Although nationally in high demand, Israel is coming to Fremont, Michigan and to Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 23-24, 2019, respectively. Mark your calendars because you won’t want to miss this opportunity.

When: Friday, August 23 at 7 PM
Where: American Decency Headquarters (203 E. Main St. Fremont)

When: Saturday, August 24 at 9 AM
Where: Doubletree By Hilton Grand Rapids (4747 28th Street Southeast)

If you plan on being at either of these, please register by calling us at 231-924-4050 or emailing kimberly@americandecency.org or online at www.americandecency.org.

Projected topics are to include technology, revival in the home, and the dating culture to name a few. With such a wide range of topics there is definitely something for everyone. Don’t let family and friends, of any age, miss out on these foundationally important sessions.

One thing that Israel Wayne speaks to is the importance of affirmation (particularly with those children within our sphere of influence). Here he gives a “Heart Check”:

  • Do your children know that you are well pleased with them?
  • Are you someone who has a pleasant disposition and a ready smile?
  • Are you enjoyable to be around?
  • If so, your home will be haven of peace.
  • In contrast, consider the woman in Proverbs 25:24 (NASB): “It is better to live in a corner of the roof than in a house shared with a contentious woman.”
  • Do you tend to focus on the failure of your children?
  • Do you look at your own life/faults through a telescope, but at your child’s with a microscope?
  • Do you have low expectations of your children?
  • Do you expect your children to fail?
  • Does fault-finding come easier to you than praise?

Let me say again, his principles are sound Biblical principles.

James likens the Bible to a mirror and Israel Wayne holds that mirror up, asking pertinent questions that require honest answers. Regardless the topic, God’s Spirit may hit the target of our heart through this truth-teller. Don’t miss out.

Please join us on August 23 and/or 24 expecting to be blessed. Bring your church, your family, and your friends.
