Down Syndrome Drag Show – Your Action Needed!

By: American Decency Staff

“Down Syndrome Drag Show.”  Yes you read that right.  First the proponents of the LGBTQ agenda came for our children; now they’re manipulating the mentally impaired.  And your action is needed today!  (See below)

This so-called “art” performance is exactly what the name entails – young men and women with Down Syndrome dressed in drag and engaging in sexualized performances.  This is not a form of “art.”  Rather, it is a shameful exploitation of these most innocent and vulnerable human beings.

Using the mentally impaired as pawns to push the LGBTQ agenda is contemptible.  This is abuse of the highest order perpetrated upon some of the most defenseless members of society. Your voice is urgently needed to speak for them and be salt and light!  See the actions points below.

We have little time to act– this Down Syndrome Drag Show is scheduled to come to Grand Rapids, Michigan on September 7.

“Grand Rapids” and “art” are two words that go together around this time of year as West Michigan usually readies itself for ArtPrize. It’s not just about art anymore, if it ever was; there’s a clear culture-changing agenda which is being pushed and glamorized, to normalize West Michigan’s descent into sin. Starting this year, ArtPrize is diversifying by launching an exhibition called Project 1. Project 1 by ArtPrize is the first in a series of multi-sited public art exhibitions that will take place in the years between biennial ArtPrize competitions.

One of the Project 1 by ArtPrize performances that’s scheduled for September 7 is the London-based troupe which goes by the name Drag Syndrome. The performers are persons with Down syndrome dressed as drag queens and kings. Although there are those who would say there is no agenda, read this group’s stated purpose in presenting their perversion. “Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from and talk to the artists, producers, and organizers involved in this unprecedented event which promises to replace and rearrange our assumptions about gender, sexuality, and disability.” (emphasis added)

Down Syndrome affects a person’s ability to reason and understand. We are supposed to protect these vulnerable ones – not manipulate them to dress in sexualized garb and perform upon demand in a perverse form of sexualized “entertainment.”

Jill Vyn of DisArt, a Grand Rapids organization that connects art and people with disabilities, stated, “There is some mystery, there is some potential controversy, but in the end we hope this is an invitation for our community to move forward.”

Their “move forward” is actually a move into further destruction. As we denigrate one member of society, we are all denigrated. Or as Frederick Douglass stated, “No man can put a chain about the ankle of his fellow man without at last finding the other end fastened about his own neck.” Which in turn takes us to the words of Jesus in Luke 17:2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin. These type of things drag us down, down, down…

Has it really come down to this – that we will allow these image bearers of Christ to be used as unknowing “props” to promote the reprobate LGBTQ agenda/propaganda?  Will we be a nation that guards and protects the most vulnerable among us – or one that takes advantage of their innocence and childlike trust?

Stand with us against this atrocity against the God who created male and female, against nature, against West Michigan, and against this nation. America will not be made great again until God’s people will love Him with all that they are and love their neighbor as themselves.
