Anytime one fights, it’s imperative to know who the enemy is. During the Obama administration, strides were purposefully taken to ignore the enemy, blame others for the enemy’s actions, and even to fund the enemy. Much ground was gained—for the enemy—by allowing a “great purge” of truth and of truth-tellers (remember Phil Haney and Stephen Coughlin, just to name a couple?) and by allowing the enemy to set up guidelines for how we should identify and fight the enemy.
With the election and inauguration of President Trump many claimed, “It’s a new day dawning!” or “There’s a new sheriff in town—watch out!” Of course these victory cries were referring to promises of protection and of making America great again. After all, we were given promises that the enemy would be named and dealt with strongly.
Unless things change, that shiny badge might be getting a little tarnished. According to a recent WND article, “President Trump has decided not to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign terrorist organization, at least for now, according to published reports citing pressure from the U.S. State Department and the King of Jordan.”
Phil Haney, purged and maligned Homeland Security official, states that it’s no surprise that the State Department is behind this opposition of declaring the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. “It’s the same shallow argument we’ve been hearing for years. We refuse to take them at face value and ask what do they, themselves, say they intend to do? This is willful blindness if you can’t take the Muslim Brotherhood at face value. This is part of the swamp that needs to be drained.”
During the Obama years, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) passionately would name the enemy and do whatever he could to protect this nation, and its government, from the enemies within. Time and again he has—like television’s Superman of old—stood for truth, justice, and the American way.
Sen. Cruz continues this battle against radical Islamic terrorism in the 115th Congress by introducing a bill called the “Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act of 2017.” If you want to follow this Senate Bill, it’s designated S.68.
Referring to the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act of 2017 and The IRGC Terrorist Designation Act, Sen. Cruz stated, “I am proud to reintroduce these bills that would codify needed reforms in America’s war against radical Islamic terrorism. This potent threat to our civilization has intensified under the Obama administration due to the willful blindness of politically-correct policies that hamper our safety and security. A grand détente with the Muslim Brotherhood and a blind eye to the IRGC are not pathways to peace in this struggle; they guarantee the ultimate success of our enemy. It is time to call this enemy by its name and speak with clarity and moral authority.”
This is a bill that really needs to be passed. America fought and defeated Islamic attacks when she was very young; but now that same enemy is within her borders and within her government. If we continue to fund and protect the enemy within; if we continue the internal danger it presents; WE WILL FALL. We prayerfully urge you to call your state senator and compel him/her to get behind this bill—to talk about it and vote for it. The number for the US Capitol Switchboard is 202-224-3121.
There’s no question that the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization. Several countries, including Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, have already designated the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. The WND article linked to above gives 13 reasons that the United States should also designate the Muslim Brotherhood as such. Here are just a few of them:
· The motto and logo of the Muslim Brotherhood speak for themselves. The motto is “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope. [Allah is greater!].” The logo includes crossed swords and the Quran emblazoned across the Earth. Below the swords is the Arabic word for “prepare,” which is pulled from Quran 8:60 on the spoils of war.
· The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in Egypt in 1928 by Hassan al Banna, who sought to revive the crumbled Islamic empire, or caliphate, led by the Ottoman Turks. “It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet,”
· Hamas, which is listed on the State Department’s list of foreign terrorist organizations, remains the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.
· Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is currently fighting the Muslim Brotherhood in the Sinai Peninsula and has himself survived two assassination attempts believed to be backed by the Brotherhood. “What kind of message is it going to send if we can’t figure out how to designate the Brotherhood a terrorist organization when they’re fighting them in Sinai right now?” asks Haney.
Of course no powerful enemy slinks off into the night without making a sound. As this bill introduced by Sen. Cruz would be a devastating blow to our terrorist enemy, they have taken a swing at both the bill and its sponsor. So CAIR went to page one in their playbook—lying, smearing, and playing the victim on behalf of Muslims living in America. To read about this click here.
When draining the swamp, apparently something got caught and is clogging the drain. Building a wall is great to protect our borders, but real protection starts from within! We need to name the enemy and take strong stands against that enemy. We must insist on background checks for anyone desiring to work within our government and fill the “swamp” with fresh, clean water.
The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in 1928 and has been infiltrating our government and establishing their agenda here in America for years. This enemy is within our government and their influence upon others within our government is great. Instead of listening to them and funding them, we should be treating them as the enemy they are. We need to pass the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act of 2017. It’s foolishness to allow our enemy to dictate how we can protect ourselves and it’s extreme foolishness to give them sanctuary within our cities, states, and especially within our government.
Tweet it, share it on Facebook, have good old-fashioned face-to-face conversations about it. Encourage people to let this administration and this 115th Congress know that you not only stand behind these acts of common sense safety, but that we expect them to move on these things.
Contact President Trump and Vice-President Pence; let them know that as American citizens and voters you expect them to take all Constitutional actions available to protect you, your family, and our nation. Part of that protection is passing the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act of 2017. The White House Switchboard is 202-456-1414. Or contact them via email at www.whitehouse.gov/contact.
