Christ’s Alternative to Communism

As a New Zealand native, Trevor Loudon has been watching America and its love affair with communism for over thirty years. With horror and concern he’s watched a great cultural overturning in America. “What was once considered the American Dream is now considered xenophobic, racist, and fascist. What was once considered Marxist and Leninist is now considered inclusive and progressive.” (from his documentary Enemies Within)

We at the American Decency Association have recognized these dangers and count it a privilege and an immense blessing to have Trevor Loudon speak in our auditorium (203 E. Main St., Fremont, MI) on Saturday, March 18, at 7 PM. In just two days he will be informing us on how Communism has infiltrated our government and society, the extent to which it has done so, and what we can do to reverse the tide. The Communist agenda and its adherents have dissolved decency within our society, dismantled our military, indoctrinated our school children (at all age levels), and disemboweled the strength of our Constitution through circumnavigation, redefinition, and ignoring its original intent and boundaries. This is not by accident; this has been planned and carried out over many years.

One specific area that communist attacks have been strong and consistent is against the church. Shamelessly, they have struck out to undermine Christ’s purpose for the church and have done what they can to discredit the Bible. Below are communist goals numbers 27 and 28, as summarized by FBI agent W. Cleon Skousen, in his classic book The Naked Communist(1958). The progress toward completing each of these top 45 goals as he projected has been nothing short of amazingly accurate.

·         “Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with ‘social religion.’ Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a ‘religious crutch.’”

·         “Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of ‘separation of church and state.’”

It’s surprising that even the communist goals for the church should come to fruition; however, this is not a reflection upon God; but rather on a people whose description Jeremiah so aptly drew: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9)

As James Bowers warns in his book The Naked Truth: “We ignore this evil progress at our own peril. We must understand that all of these trends and events in America for the past fifty years have not happened by accident. They were laid out years ago as a part of the Communist strategy to take over the world—just as their Marxist founders openly proclaimed they would.”

When considering the many blessings that God has bestowed upon America, from our beginnings even until now; and considering the great evils that we have allowed to infiltrate and grow within our country; we should take warning from the next chapter of Jeremiah:

"At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them."(18:7-10)

Recognizing the dangers of an ideology such as communism and its tentacles which have put a stranglehold on all that is good and decent in society, an ideology that runs contrary to the laws and nature of God, it’s vital that we get informed and act on that information. It’s imperative that we go to God in prayer asking for wisdom, a revival of His righteousness, and a burden to act in accordance with His sovereign will.

E. Stanley Jones, in his book entitled Christ’s Alternative to Communism, points us back to the gospel and the power of God in overcoming not only communism but any other trouble man encounters.

“I asked Professor Harnack once what the Christian solution was to a certain question. He replied, ‘Christianity gives no solutions, but it gives a goal and power to move on to that goal.’ He was right. The Christian movement has in it those two things: it offers the most glorious goal ever offered to humanity—the Kingdom of God on earth—a Kingdom in which there would be no poverty, no classes, no sickness, and no sin, which would, in fact, be the Lord’s Year of Jubilee, a new world  beginning. That is the goal. Then there is the power to move on to that goal, the resources of the Spirit of God.

With that program and that power we confidently expect to outlast humanistic Communism. But if we do, then we must sincerely and without equivocation or compromise adopt that program and then lay hold of that Power.”

We urge you to prayerfully attend this event; ask that God would open our eyes and the eyes of those within our government. If we don’t take the responsibility to stop communism seriously, what will happen to our children, grandchildren, and even to us as we live out our “golden years.”  When we stand before God and must give an account of how we used the blessings He has given us, what will we say?
