The Most Important Thing to Do Tomorrow

By: American Decency Staff

“Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint.”

It seems as if the dominoes are falling all around us.  As a critical presidential election looms large and we witness the moral disintegration of our nation, many feel helpless knowing there is little we can do to affect the outcome and so we say “all we can do is pray.”

Yet, instead of being the last resort, prayer is the most important thing we can do!

Whether God allows the consequences of sin to prevail in our nation – or in His mercy chooses to bless us once again – we know He is Sovereign over all.

Yet God calls His people to pray.  Our country was birthed in prayer.  While many have turned their backs on that foundation – may we not.

This week Thursday is the National Day of Prayer.  In Fremont we will gather at the Veterans Memorial Park band shell at 12:00 PM to turn to God and seek His face.

Join with us and other fellow believers at noon this Thursday, May 5, in simple faith-filled prayer for the people of our nation.

Rev. Ron Workman will lead the time of prayer and nationally-noted speaker and filmmaker, Curtis Bowers, will offer a brief meditation, with inspirational music provided by his family.

Fervent, humble prayer is needed now more than ever.  Won’t you join us?
