Push back time. Transgender bathrooms in Michigan schools?

I’m writing about an action concern in Michigan regarding transgender bathrooms in our schools.  As you may have heard, the Michigan Board of Education is pushing a proposal that would allow school children of any age to choose their gender, change their name and pronoun, and use the bathroom and locker room of their choice. 

Have you heard about this news?

This policy would push the transgender agenda on children without parental knowledge or permission.  Not only would it undermine the authority of parents, but it also puts all students at risk as girls would be forced to share locker rooms with boys, and vice versa.

We want to get as many people as we possibly can to let their voices be heard and let the Board of Education know that Michigan citizens are strongly opposed to this dangerous policy. 

I am attaching an info sheet and a petition (pdf) that will assist all of us to speak out and give you tools to encourage others to do the same.

Please share this information with your family and friends and ask your church to also make the information and petition available.  PRINT COPIES AND PASS ALONG.

This is no time for us to be “beating around the bush” or procrastinating while “Rome burns.” 

Our voices are being heard already, but our voice needs to reach near and far in our state of Michigan.  This email alert is going out almost exclusively to Michigan!

The public comment has been extended “at least another 30 days” after April 11 due to numbers of people already weighing in.   Our voices are needed.

The Board will finalize the guidance at its meeting on May 10.
