Today’s the day!  Come to the American Decency Association at either 1:00 or 7:00 PM to be moved, warmed, entertained and encouraged.  Yes, the movie WOODLAWN will be shown today at 203 E. Main Street in Fremont, MI. 

We’re sure this true story will score a touchdown with you, as you witness the healing of a city and its people. It will draw you in as you see real people changed by love and by a devotion to Jesus Christ. 

We know that this free event will move you emotionally, but it’s our hope that it will grip you in such a way that you’ll be moved to pray for our country as never before. Our nation is in desperate need of healing, perhaps even more so than it was needed in this film, which takes place in the racially charged atmosphere of Birmingham, Alabama in 1973.  As you watch this story of spiritual awakening, that takes place in the hearts of the Woodlawn High School Football team, keep in mind that such a revival can still take place in America today.

Jesus was the answer then; He’s the answer today.  He has been and always will be the only true answer to whatever questions society may ask. Watch as a city turns from chaos to Christ, from hatred to Him who created them, from just football to Jesus.  Watch what happens when Jesus is the focus, and know that through God’s answer to fervent prayer, it can still happen today.

Although one of the themes is football, it’s not a “football movie;” listen to one reviewer’s opinion:  “'Woodlawn'” is the best sports movie I’ve ever seen, although that label really doesn’t do it justice.  That’s because it’s simply a great movie – even without the sports – and it’s among the most inspiring and uplifting films I’ve watched.”

Join us at 1:00 PM or 7:00 PM; bring your family and friends for a free movie and refreshments afterwards.  Leave in a spirit of prayer, find others to pray with, and pray for the healing of our nation.
