We are only a few short days away from Sandy Rios and Frank Gaffney coming to the American Decency Association in Fremont, MI (Friday) and the Prince Conference Center in Grand Rapids, MI (Saturday). Anticipation is mounting, as we are about to consider how “The War is Real and the War IS Now.”
Of course we are always in a spiritual war, but the war which is real and now that we are facing goes beyond the spiritual realm. It’s playing out in the political and physical realms too. These are perilous times as radical Islam wages war upon our western civilization, against the Law of our land (the Constitution), and against our religious rights of religion, free worship, and free speech.
It’s not just radical Islam though, it’s also the radical leftist politicians, lawless judiciary, and the godless society that strives to pervert all that is sacred and right. Lawlessness unchecked breeds greater lawlessness and godlessness unrestrained breeds increased godlessness. These two things lead to mindless thought which breeds bestial, brutish actions which are so pervasive today.
One should expect these things from the irreligious left and an unconverted society, but what happens when our “Christian” institutions of higher learning join in the fray of blurring the lines between the sacred and the profane? What should we expect when they stop guarding the precious treasure of Biblical Truth and the exclusivities of Christ? What happens when we blur the image of Jesus with the image of mere religion?
When such “religious” institutions bring in speakers who promote interfaith dialogue—a man like Eboo Patel—when they go along to get along, they stop wielding the truth, trading it in for the comfort of a lie. If we buy that lie, our consciences are slain, our protection is gone, and we’re easy prey for any who’d have us.
Spiritual dangers are not far removed from national dangers; they walk hand in hand. It’s appalling and shameless that Christian colleges would help to “grease the skids” nationally and ecclesiastically. When anyone helps to make a way for acceptance of a known enemy, one who repeatedly states their desire to kill you, it’s an act of treason against our nation, against their consciences, and against the Supreme Sovereign, Jesus Christ and His body, the Church.
As you can see, the war IS real and the war IS now!
