Be a Voice for Truth!

In John 17, in what’s known as the High Priestly Prayer, Jesus prayed for you and me and all of His followers down through the ages.  Christ prayed in part:  “…the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.  I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.  … Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. …”

As we see the onslaught upon Biblical truth in our culture, we Christians are, indeed, hated by many.  The natural reaction, the comfortable thing to do, would be to retreat, block it out, and seek to live in our own little worlds.  However, as we see in Christ’s prayer for us, He is sending us into that world.

Each one of us is called to be bearers of truth to a world that opposes it.  We at American Decency Association are called to fight on the frontlines in the battle for truth, as we’re doing in raising the alarm about the Michigan Board of Education proposed transgender policy which not only puts the safety of children at risk, but exchanges the truth for lies as it teaches young people that their gender is their own choice.

However, as with this fight and every other in which we are engaged, we can’t do it on our own.  Our voice alone would not be heard without you adding your voice to the chorus.  That’s why we continue to ask you to speak out on this issue (See below for action steps). 

Today we received this email from one of our supporters:

“I don't send emails out to people – until now.  I sent this to just about everyone in Michigan I know – some I haven't contacted in nearly a decade!  Hopefully everyone who received this from you has done the same.  This is the worst travesty of justice that has ever hit our state!”

Just as this person is doing – you are needed to be a voice of truth!

In addition to joining us in action, we at American Decency couldn’t take stand without your prayers and support.  One friend of this ministry understands that and just offered a match challenge to help us raise the funds needed for this fight. 

1.  The anonymous donor will match up to $5,000.
2.  They have pledged to match any gift, whether the person is a regular donor or has never given to American Decency before.
3.  The funds must be received between March 30 through May 15.
