Will You Fall in Line too?

I remember one of my teachers from Junior High days that would say something like this:

Don’t be such followers, kids.   Just because somebody goes and jumps in a ditch doesn’t mean you have to too.  

Though it struck me as funny at the time, that teacher was seeing kids and really adults for what so many absolutely are. Followers.  Sheep-like. In dress styles, “gotta have that tennis shoe because that’s what is cool.” Afraid they are not going to be accepted if they go  against the tide of fashion.

Who will go against the tide?  Homosexuality and same sex marriage are shoved down our throats by television, politicians, teachers, professors.   Fall in line! 

Will you fall in line, too? 

God’s word:  And be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. 

One of the real distinctive of American Decency Association has been our faithfulness to marking the difference between the holy and the profane from our inception.

However, as an individual that has received our email over these years, you already know that. From sounding the alarm in regard (more than once) to Hardy’s sleazy television ads to being the ministry most responsible for alerting untold numbers of people to Abercrombie & Fitch’s pornographic catalog (which no longer exists).  We would monitor the quarterly catalog and window displays and report on the nature of their advertising, urging people to boycott A&F. After several years of such faithfulness from this ministry and a few others, Abercrombie & Fitch with great reluctance discontinued their pornographic advertising ploys after their corporate finances were suffering. 

As you stand with us in reading our nearly daily emails, you have seen that we have been struggling in what has proven to be a very tough  MATCH CHALLENGE FOR US.

The reason?  Because the match is seeking new supporters, people who have never, ever given a gift to ADA or individuals who haven’t given since 2013. 

Just today we finally have reached a total of $3,000.  Yet we have $7,000 more to go before December 31!

Dear friend:  If our ministry has MINISTERED into your life in this last year, we are calling out to you to let us know by making a year-end gift to us today (or before December 31). 

Your gift likely will be doubled by a match challenge recently extended to us to assist us in finishing the year with greater strength.
