Muslim-Christian Dialogue on peacemaking at Calvin Sem. – Friday night

By: American Decency Staff

I just received a very urgent email yesterday regarding a “Muslim-Christian Dialogue of Peacemaking” scheduled for this Friday evening at Calvin Theological Seminary (7:00 – 9:30 P.M.)

Before I give details about this concerning meeting, let me say this.

Nearly two years ago I traveled to Saginaw Valley State University to hear Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf.  Rauf was the head of the proposed mosque that was to be built near the site of the Sept. 11, 2001 attack in New York City – ground zero.

Rauf stated that Islamic Shariah law is consistent with the U.S. Constitution.   This high-powered figure greases the skids for the slow acceptance of Shariah. All of this is part of what is referred to as Civilization Jihad.  In other words, efforts by radical Islamists to attack America, our freedoms, and ideals, from within – seeking to indoctrinate and disarm via smooth talk and deception.

At the meeting in Saginaw, I raised the question:  “You say that Shariah is consistent with the U.S. Constitution and yet under Shariah if a Jew, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, secularist does not convert to Islam, they can be beheaded.  How does that make Shariah consistent with the Constitution?”

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf spent 25 minutes negating the question stating things such as  “there will always be those few militants.  However, that doesn’t represent the millions of moderate Muslims who love America and her freedoms.” He spoke of the uniqueness of America and how there is no other nation like it.

A lot of water has gone under the bridge since witnessing that 75 minute propaganda session.

Here isan Islamic term used for such indoctrinating misinformation as Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf’s presentation before approximately 170 people at Saginaw Valley State University:

Taqiyya… which is generally described as lying for the sake of Islam.  Taqiyya is a concept in Islamic law that translates as “deceit or dissimulation,” particularly towards infidels.  It is based on Quran 3:28 and 16:106 … as a means of deception when penetrating the enemy camp.

Note also the following definition regarding Civilization Jihad (or stealth Jihad).

Absent an appreciation of the threat posed by stealth jihad, the pre-violent jihadist is free to proceed unimpeded under the radar in Western societies, infiltrating and subverting along lines specifically tailored to today’s liberal, multicultural-minded non-Muslim populations in ways that are genuinely difficult to recognize, oppose or counter.

Jihad means warfare.  Muslims are to fight “the people” who do not worship Allah until “they” all submit to Islam.

Just this little bit of background  information – void of even a cursory description of Jihadist attacks including beheadings, rapes,  mutilations, and mass killings of Christians – is enough to give concern that this up-coming “peace-making” seminar will be more about accommodation than truth – what security experts such as Frank Gaffney, Patrick S. Poole, Lt. General Jerry Boykin would, I’m sure, refer to as a sham.

Local imams and Christian leaders will address three aspects of peacemaking. There will also be time for questions and answers and informal conversation at the end. The questions and persons to address them are listed below:

What did the founder of your religion teach and practice in regards to peacemaking?

Imam Muaz Redzic and Pastor Jonathan Bornman

Share one or two inspiring examples of peacemaking from your religious tradition.

Imam Shareef Sahibzada and Pastor Andres Prins

In what ways is (or could you see) your faith community trying to build peaceful relations with the rest of the inhabitants of Grand Rapids?

Imam Morsy Salem and Professor Douglas Kindschi

As delineated  above, this meeting will be held  at Calvin Theological Seminary.

Is this “Muslim-Christian Dialogue of Peacemaking” really that – about peacemaking and bridge-building?

In closing, it is important that you understand that we share a burden with Kamal Saleem – that Muslims come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Kamal Saleem, whom many of you have heard at one or more of our events here in West Michigan, is a former terrorist turned Christian.   Kamal’s love and desire is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with Muslim people wherever and whenever he can.

He along with Lt. General Jerry Boykin worked together in a video series called “The Unveiling”.  A significant portion of Kamal Saleem’s video series is upon his heart’s desire to see Muslims saved.  Here is his website:  quoting:  It is our hearts’ cry to reach a lost and oppressed people through education, relationship, and prayer as to the truth and liberty in Christ Jesus.  Teaching the redeeming power of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.  Our mission is to see ISHMAEL REDEEMED.

The only way for true peace is not through accommodation or assimilation, but through Jesus Christ.

Here are the meeting details:
