Stratcom, Cybercom: Strategic threats to U.S. security posed by cyber attacks increase

The threat posed to U.S. national security from sophisticated cyber attacks is growing and the United States faces the prospect of strategic disruptions of its critical infrastructure as a result. 


  That was the message last week to Congress during public testimomy from Adm. Cecil D. Haney, commander of the U.S. Strategic Command, and Army Gen. Keith Alexander, commander of the U.S. Cyber Command. 
  The four-star admiral in charge of nuclear and cyber warfare capabilities said he is concerned by the growing sophistication of cyber attacks. 


  “While we have increased our own cyber capabilities, the worldwide cyber threat is growing in scale and sophistication, with an increasing number of state and non-state actors targeting U.S. networks on a daily basis,” Haney
