Concerned citizens are helped by spiritual warriors: Know Mat Staver

Read these words from Mat Staver, President and founder of Liberty Counsel based in Orlando, Florida.

Liberty can come in our generation if we ultimately pray and ask God to intervene.  The question is:  what will you do?  This is our generation.  The future generations will not write that our generation lost liberty, but that liberty will be reborn in our lifetime.  Let it begin with each one of you as it spreads across this land.

It is the essence of liberty that God created you and I in His image and all humanity longs for liberty.  It is also the essence of our Christian heritage that not only when your heart is set free, you want external freedom as well.  And you can be trusted with that external freedom because you have the responsibility of the Creator of the universe who has set you free from guilt and shame and sin.  That is the kind of liberty that we long for.   That is the kind of liberty that transcends humanity and it is particularly true with our Judeo-Christian history in America and it is that liberty that our government is seeking to oppress.  Today we live at critical times.  Today we live at a red line of liberty.

Mat on the mission of Liberty University – to train a generation of champions for Christ.

The mission of Liberty University is to train a generation of champions for Christ.  That is the mission; that is the mandate; that is what Liberty University is seeking to accomplish.  We will not, we cannot compromise that mission in order to fund abortion.  We will not choose between training champions for Christ or funding abortion.  We will train champions for Christ and we will not cross that red line.
