When: Tuesday, February 4, 2014
Time: 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm
Where:American Decency Association – 203 E Main Street – Fremont, MI 49412
It’s not just a battle of world views; it’s not only a battle of religions; this debate is a battle for the minds of our children. Tomorrow, February 4th from 7PM to 9:30 PM Ken Ham and Bill Nye will be doing their best to win the hearts and minds of children and parents alike. While Ken Ham vies for the position of absolute Biblical authority, Bill Nye will speak as though man’s theory of evolution is without objection and has no equal.
While Bill Nye would have your children believe in an intricate creation that came about from mere happenstance, Ken Ham is standing in the gap for truth, showing that science does support the Biblical account of a Creator.
Bill Nye upholds the notion of no Creator; he believes it all just happened; stating, “Evolution is the fundamental idea in all of life science.” On the other hand, Ken Ham promotes the side of Biblical authority; he warns “the way to convince kids about evolution is you don’t teach them to think critically, don’t teach them the difference between historical science and observational science; you just want to make sure they only hear about evolution and that’s it.”
Evolutionists accuse creationists of not believing in science but creationists point out that there is a “worldview” of difference between observational science (that which technology and experiments are based on) and historical science. The simple fact is there are not two sets of evidence, one set belonging to creationists and one set belonging to evolutionists. We all have the same evidence, it’s where you start that will determine where you end up. You can start with man’s word or you can start with God’s word. There are those who sit on the fence attempting to weave both views together; they need to decide, Creator or no Creator. We are embattled for a culture. Here’s an excellent opportunity to learn.
The opposing views of creationism and evolution are hardly ever formally debated anymore; but you can hear and see them battled out tomorrow, live-streamed from the Creation Museum at no cost to you. You can watch freely from the comfort of your own home by signing in at debatelive.org or you can join the American Decency Association as they partner with Fremont OPC to live-stream this historic debate.
Join us Tuesday, February 4 at 7pm in Fremont at 203 E. Main Street for a time of education and fellowship.
