For those who read our emails and get our newsletter and follow the cultural trends, we don’t have to tell you that religious freedom is under attack in America. You've heard about Christian business owners being forced to violate their beliefs, judges requiring churches to rent their buildings to ungodly organizations, and children being bullied to abandon their faith at the schoolhouse doors. Just today (for just one example) – The Human Rights Commission in Lexington, Kentucky has a chilling message for Christian business owners who refuse service to LGBT organizations: leave your religion at home. For more info, click here. I know you care. That’s why you are one of the ones that we are sending this email out to. We do need (in our corner of the world) to encourage one another to keep doing the things that we can do.

Here is a short list of things:

(1) Don’t give in to despair and thereby give into lethargy. 
(2) Pray. Asking God to pour out His amazing grace to keep you strong in Him. 
(3) Encourage others in the faith. 
(4) Do all you can to work within our system of government which includes keeping abreast of the issues and VOTING with godly wisdom.

And, let me add the following: showing up at local events where likeminded are gathering to learn more, to be encouraged and to bring others at such opportunities. I believe you agree that what I say is correct. You also know there is a lot of discouragement in the air over the serious events of our day. It is for this reason that we are calling you to join with us others on Friday at the ADA office/auditorium to see a penetrating movie produced by the American Family Association. Many of you are already aware that “A Time to Speak” is a highly acclaimed movie that is being shown all across our still great country.

A TIME TO SPEAK is a new documentary film from American Family Association highlighting the urgent need for Christians to pray, speak out, and vote. It's a clarion call for the Church to break the silence and preserve our religious freedom for the coming generations. Following the movie this coming Friday we will leave some time to discuss the movies content and the implications of its message for such a time as this. While supplies last, we will be giving away a limited number of free DVDs of “A Time To Speak” for you to take and share with others in your family and/or congregation.

Lastly, we will also be making available a number of Voters Guides for you to use for yourself and to share with others. (Some will take the guides in quantity to share at your local church. ) In closing, Mat Staver, President of Liberty Counsel stated recently: The stakes couldn’t be higher in the upcoming elections. Our national destiny will be greatly impacted. If pro-family, pro-life, pro-liberty voters stay home, the liberal agenda will win and with it many of their godless proposals advanced.

Join us and bring others on Friday, October 17 for showings of “A Time to Speak” with showings at 1:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. at American Decency, 203 E. Main Street in Fremont.  As a reminder please know that our heart is set upon doing God’s will. The times are serious. We all know there is much at stake. This movie will be worth your time followed by a time of prayerful discussion.
