The Kingdom of Heaven

The Kingdom of Heaven.   Jesus talked more about the Kingdom of Heaven than anything else.

He used parables to describe and illustrate what the Kingdom of Heaven was like and would be.

The Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed.
The Kingdom of God is like a pearl of great price.
like a net
like a man
like a wedding feast

Towards the end of Jesus' life here on earth, the Israelites believed that Jesus was going to establish an earthly king as a powerful authority but the Kingdom of God that Jesus was establishing was invisible not visible – it was like a mustard seed – progressive, maturing slowly but surely.

But just because the Kingdom of God is invisible does not mean that it isn't real.  The Kingdom of God is like bread growing.

Our King, Jesus Christ, will not only reign in the future, He reigns now – like a mustard seed, a pearl of great price.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:12.
