I heard a father that told his adult children:

"I'll give you a $1,000 if you keep your children/my grandchildren away from the daily television programming scenario."

Why would he make such an offer to his children?

I would love to hear your take on this but here's mine.

(1) Because so much television programming is an assault upon our children's moral and spiritual sensibilities.
(2) We don't want our kids being conformed to the godless images, themes, ideas and attitudes that relentlessly target their lives.
(3) Because we can see the stark contrast that often exists between those who have been trained and mentored for purity and those who have regularly been exposed to the filth of this age.

Call me an old fogie if you'd like, but I know what is best for my kids and grandkids and it's not godlessness but godliness.
