I have seen first hand what happens when a loved one marries unequally yoked as have many of us.
Unequally yoked is when a Christian marries a non-Christian. This goes against the word and heart of God.
The true believer wants to please God: reads His word, goes to church, prays daily, guards his/her heart from ungodly entertainment, is a member of a church. The non-believer (the unequally yoked partner) does not understand the things of the Lord and many times resists even rebels against God and God's ways. The impact is felt in many many ways but none more than upon the children.
God says in His Word "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
He still works even in broken relationships. Nonetheless, heed God's word "do not be unequally yoked."
