Being proud of sin’s degradation? I think not

Here is the gist of one of the articles targeting ADA as they mis-quoted and twisted our commentary.

The American Decency Association has pegged retired basketball star Magic Johnson as their latest scapegoat in a losing battle against homosexuality, claiming his overwhelming support for recently-outed gay son, EJ Johnson III, is just as much of an “abomination” as his HIV status. For an organization that prides itself on “decency,” you’d think they’d have something nicer to say… [Taken from Queerty]

The only punishment here is being harangued by religious nuts. These evangelical twinks are the lowest form of animal life. They are like fleas and bedbugs that infest everything around them. They are truly blood sucking leaches who steal from the poor and give to their wealthy “pastors” who live in mansions and have servants and limosines. What a crock.

I do sometimes wonder about some of these groups. Probably hold their meetings in airport men’s rooms.

God loves everyone.  Gay people are here because God wants us here.  Bill Johnson represents the sick, twist views of people who use God's word in a hateful way that I believe represents the devil.  Decency involves treating everyone respect even your children, not forcing people to do exactly what Jesus says not to do. 

My response:

God blesses a nation whose God is the Lord.  As we Americans turn our back upon the Lord, deny and mock His Word, and blaspheme His Holy Name, we set ourselves up for judgment.  

Many astute believers state that America is already experiencing the judgment of God; that God has removed His hand of protection from America. 

It is difficult to ignore this as a reality.  America is deserving of God’s wrath. 

The book of Judges speaks to a time of great godlessness which is a picture of America’s dangerous slide.

And there arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord or the work that he had done for Israel.

And the people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals.  And they abandoned the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt. They went after other gods, from among the gods of the peoples who were around them, and bowed down to them. And they provoked the Lord to anger.

They abandoned the Lord and served the Baals and the Ashtaroth.  So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he gave them over to plunderers, who plundered them. And he sold them into the hand of their surrounding enemies, so that they could no longer withstand their enemies.  Whenever they marched out, the hand of the Lord was against them for harm, as the Lord had warned, and as the Lord had sworn to them. And they were in terrible distress.

Then the Lord raised up judges, who saved them out of the hand of those who plundered them. Yet they did not listen to their judges, for they whored after other gods and bowed down to them. They soon turned aside from the way in which their fathers had walked, who had obeyed the commandments of the Lord, and they did not do so.

We once were a people largely united under what was right and what was wrong.  It was a nation under God.

However, there has been a RELENTLESS attack upon God and upon godliness.  The evidences of the spiritual/moral slide has been lengthy and increasingly the “chickens have come home to roost.”

Americans love their televisions, stories and sitcoms and with the passing years knowing the difference between right and wrong has eroded through the concerted campaign of Hollywood.

Network television began to shove homosexuality down our throats years ago:

America’s most powerful influence makers have intensified their public relations blitz aimed at convincing Americans that homosexual behavior is normal and more specifically, that homosexual “marriage” should be legalized.

In what USA Today has called the “gayest TV season in memory,” network programmers – subsidized by well-known companies – have become more and more bold in their homosexual advocacy.

“It is amazing to see two gay weddings within a month on two big sitcoms.  It seems like they’re trying to push some buttons.  Even in the gay community, a full-on-same-sex marriage is a minority kind of thing,” said Rob Greenblatt, executive vice president of development for Fox.  “It is 1996, and little by little everybody has gotten a little less afraid of the old taboos.”  [Taken from Washington Times, 1/25/96; USA Today, 1/31/96, AFA Journal March 1996]

There is a God in the universe who created all things.  The very breath we breathe, the sun that warms, the gravity that holds things together, the seasons, the rules of nature, natural law are all shaped by God. 

In the book of Judges, Israel turned their backs upon God.  Every man did what was right in his own eyes.  To get man’s attention, God allowed the natural consequences of godlessness to have its way.   Godlessness includes homosexuality, same-sex marriage, abortion, adultery, premarital sex, polygamy, pedophilia, … the list goes on and on. 

All have fallen short of the glory of God.  Christians don’t place themselves above others.  However, in becoming a true believer (professing Christ as Savior and Lord and confessing their sins), God by His Holy Spirit begins to work in a redeemed sinner; enabling that person to increasingly walk in what pleases God, not in the darkness of wickedness. 

I am not proud of my sins of my past, but I am forgiven. By God’s grace I don’t do what I once did.   

Yet Magic Johnson, whose illicit sexual lifestyle resulted in his HIV status, is “proud” of his son for choosing an equally destructive lifestyle.

Sin degrades, addicts, devastates, divides, destroys and is judged and will be ultimately be judged by a Holy God when we go before him when our life here comes to an end.

I love Christ because He first loved me.  My salvation in Jesus Christ is not by anything that I have done but is a free gift of God – a gift of grace.

God’s call goes out to each and everyone.  “My grace is sufficient for thee.  My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
I don’t write to condemn but rather to call sin what it is sin.  Homosexuality is sin.  Same-sex marriage is sin.  Adultery and promiscuity is sin.

Network television and cable TV will trumpet, promote, propagandize and bully their way by continuing to spend billions of dollars to fool a godless generation. Untold numbers will be duped and will follow darkness rather than  follow the light.  

Though they see the sun rise and fall, the Creator’s amazing hand of design in all of nature, though they see evidences of God all around them with the birth and wonder of little babies, still seeing they will not see and hearing they will not hear.  What about you?  What about me?
