Urge sponsors to empower families, not filth

By: American Decency Staff

The offensiveness begins with the derogatory reference to women in the title, but it certainly doesn’t end there.  “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23â€Â is a program that regularly pollutes hearts and minds – a show promoting illicit sexuality and filled with vulgar dialog and crude sexual references.  And as these immoral and sexually deviant behaviors permeate the cultural waters in which we all swim, our children and families are the ones who especially pay the price. Click here to urge the advertisers not to empower degrading shows such as “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23.â€Â Darden Restaurants (Olive Garden and Red Lobster) is proving to be a “hardcore,â€Â regular sponsor of “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23.â€ÂÂ  The company has sponsored this raunchy show with ads for either Olive Garden or Red Lobster (and sometimes both!) in nearly every episode. Click here to send a special letter to Darden Restaurants. Other sponsors include:  Netflix, TGI Friday’s, PepsiCo products (Sierra Mist, Doritos, Diet Pepsi), Old Navy, L’Oreal, and Lexus. There are many attacks upon the family today.  It is important for us to take opportunities to stand up for families and against the destructive influences that contribute to the erosion of the American culture.  Taking a moment to send a message to corporate sponsors is one important and easy way to take a stand. We all know the persuasive power of images and verbiage in influencing behavior. Corporations certainly know this – otherwise they wouldn’t pay millions of dollars in advertising to influence consumers to buy their products.   Help us to urge these companies to empower shows which uplift and build stronger American families instead of aligning with the sexually explicit and the vulgar. ========================================================== To support our efforts please click here or mail your gift to American Decency Association (ADA), PO Box 202, Fremont, MI 49412.
