One Nation Under God event and DVD

We’ve lost sight of our great heritage as a nation founded on Biblical truth, and the consequences are dire:  schools are failing, the divorce rate is climbing, and our society is rife with scandal and corruption.  It’s time to reclaim our Biblical heritage and bring God back to the center of American life.  Where do we start? It starts with you and me.  According to the organization United in Purpose, “of the 60 million Christians in the U.S., only 30 million of them vote in any given election or are even registered to vote.  Our research has shown that it only takes 5 million votes to decide an election.  We believe that if Christian voters will make their voices heard on Election Day, we can bring about positive change in America.  Our nation was founded on Biblical principles, but God has been expunged from our culture, and as a consequence, our nation is in an ethical and moral mess.â€Â As a step to help bring God back to the center of American life, American Decency Association will host a special video event, ONE NATION UNDER GOD on Saturday, November 12 presented by United in Purpose. One Nation Under God, a national, two-hour premiere event, features top American thinkers and political leaders who will bring the truth about God and America to people gathered in homes and churches across the nation. This two hour event features a power-packed lineup of speakers and topics, listed below. David Barton – What were the biblical principles employed by our founding fathers in establishing the United States as a nation and what do they mean for Americans today? Historian David Barton will answer these important questions along with many others in a fast-paced, fact- packed presentation that will reveal the hearts and minds of our founding fathers and their legacy for today’s Americans. Dr. James Dobson – Renowned and respected as one of the foremost authorities on family in America, Dr. James Dobson will share the pivotal role played by strong, godly families in the life and future of a successful, thriving nation. Newt Gingrich – Statesman and historian Newt Gingrich will discuss the implications of the basic foundational truth that makes America exceptional among nations: our rights as Americans are given to us not by a king or by a government, but by God, our Creator. Timothy Johnson – Dr. Timothy Johnson, Chairman of the Frederick Douglass Foundation, will challenge and inspire us to stand firm in our beliefs even when the forces of culture exert influences upon us to do otherwise. Bob McEwen – Former Congressman Bob McEwen will help us understand that for a nation to prosper and prevail, it must stand on critical core values without compromise. Reverend Samuel Rodriguez – What does a nation under God really look like? Rev. Rodriguez, President of the National Christian Hispanic Leadership Conference, will answer this question and will discuss what has made America the greatest nation in the world and what actions we must take today to keep America great. Lila Rose – Founder of Live Action and pro-life advocate Lila Rose will talk about the imperative of protecting life as one of our inalienable rights and, through her personal story, will share the power of one person to make a difference. John Stemberger – John Stemberger, attorney and President of the Florida Family Policy Council, will reveal some common misconceptions about the relationship between church and state, along with some surprising facts about the laws that affect Christians.
